Talks are ongoing between both campaigns about how to deploy Sanders later this summer and fall as a Clinton surrogate. The Clinton camp wants him to make his largest splash with the young cohort captivated by his Brooklyn-tinged talk of “revolution.”

“They’re discussing all these things now, and once they figure it out, that’s what he’ll be doing,” Sanders’ senior adviser Tad Devine told POLITICO…

The data and targeting tools that Sanders used to great effect in the Democratic primaries, Devine added, will also be available to Clinton.

“We know who they are. We’ve identified them. They’re part of the process,” Devine said. “And the modern tools of campaigning, once you’ve identified somebody, give you the ability to contact them, to persuade them and to mobilize them like you’ve never seen before.”

If you are a Sanders supporter who is considering voting for Drumpf, sanity not politics is your primary problem.

It’s things like this that make people that previously held a high or reasonable opinion of Senator Sanders, so disgusted. Why does he have to hedge everything? You know damn well you aren’t going to be the nominee. Just say that, and then say but you hope you can work with the party on x,y,z, of your platform going forward after the election.

Bernie is dillusional if he thinks his supporters would not vote for Trump. I was a Bernie delegate (I did switch at state convention as it was time) and unless Bernie makes a strong statement soon many of his folks will go Trump or one of the third party candidates that could in essence benefit Trump.

Sen. Sanders: “It doesn’t appear that I’m going to be the nominee.”

How long before the Sarandonistas accuse even him of betrayal?

Then get out there and endorse Hillary already!

It is good to see that Bernie is finally coming around publicly. After Trump’s vile speech today we need everyone on board to make sure he gets nowhere near the Presidency. Trump just raised the bar in pathological lying.

…but I don’t think the people who would be voting for me would vote for him,"

Seems he has not payed any attention to the consequences of his irresponsible rhetoric these past 6 months or so.

That’s a first good step.

Now, if you care about the party you ran under, take another step by supporting the Democratic nominee. By support, I mean something beyond saying that Trump would be a disaster while failing to encourage your supporters to vote for Hillary.

It’s my understanding that if Sanders wants to speak at the convention, he has to endorse Clinton and soon. He can’t be dicking around and still get to speak.

EDIT TO ADD: Why is he “acknowledging” this on CSPAN as opposed to network news?

“Counter-revolutionary! It didn’t work out nicely for Trotsky, Bourgeois Bernie!”

Trump is asking for Sanders supporters just today. Sanders has alway tried to put himself above the Democratic Party. I maintain his supporters were mostly just radicals they will go right into Trumps group of radicals for the most part. Sanders continues to bring the Democrats down his main objective. If I were a powerful democrat i would give him what he deserves.

Let’s hope he follows through. But late summer is not what I would see as good timing. The sooner the better.

If Bernie wants to continue his revolution, he needs to take it to the states - win state houses, win control of state legislatures, control redistricting commissions, elect Progressive representatives and senators, and break the GOP hold on the House maintained by gerrymandered districts. That will usher in the revolution. Not the Presidency. Not sure he and his followers have the staying power or chops to do that hard work.

In other news, Dewey concedes that Truman did, in fact, win the election.
