Whatā€™s the GOP agenda? You cut taxes. Great job, A+, huge success.

Whatā€™s action item #2? Oh, is there not one?

ā€œHouse Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) said Tuesday that a ā€˜divisive leadership electionā€™ would only disrupt the Republican agendaā€¦ā€

I actually agree with Ryan.

The GOP Congress would never get anything done if it were sidetracked from its agenda.

Of never getting anything done.

Immigration legislation are hard.

In 50 years brown and black people will constitute the majority of the nation. Iā€™m betting they can be trusted to be magnanimous in wielding power. As opposed to driving every white person into the sea like we deserve.

Hey, Paul, youā€™re the one who decided to quit. And then cash in. And a nation is grateful.

But it will out the Pelosi lovers among the dems and theyā€™ll all loose their seats and increase the GOP majority in Congress, Ha!

Thatā€™s got me thinking about this again ā€¦

Do you need a license to trap wild gerbils ? ? ā€¦

They are friskier than the tameā€¦pet store ones ā€¦

This got me to thinking, this can only mean one thingā€¦RAyn will eventually step down, sulk, use up his sick days and say he did what was best for Congress, the country and his party, and not in that orderā€¦though his party is really all he meant to say.

Yeah, heā€™s toast and he knows it.

The Republican agenda is going so well? Hadnā€™t noted any activity in the House other than that tax cut for the filthy rich whereby none of us got the promised $2000 bonus from our employers.

ā€œSo we clearly have members from opposite ends of our spectrum who are frustrated with each other, which can happen in Congress,ā€ he added.

Hmm wouldnā€™t someone who was designated as Leader be responsible for pulling their members together? I thought everyone knew this.

ā€œA leadership election now, before I served a full 36 months as Speaker, would cost me $10K or more annually in Federal Retirement Benefits. I intend to serve out my full term to guarantee that I will retire with the maximum possible pension and the minimum amount of time in service.ā€

-Speaker Paul Ryan

Joined Congress in 1999, Became Speaker January 2016, hits 20 years of service with a ā€œhigh-3ā€ as Speaker in January 2019ā€¦

Heckuva coincidence.

It does the heart good to see that the Dems are not the only party that has a hard time getting on the same page.

in lieu of having no agenda and a leadership fight would actually be very entertaining in the run up to the mid-termsā€¦

Paulie worshiped Ayn Rand and then found out that she died destitute surviving only on social security and Medicare. There was no way that the GOPā€™s base, who exist in the very same way, were ever going to elect him president after insisting they live without medical insurance or food stamps and then die with even fewer crumbs than Rand had at the end.

It always looks so good through the lens of the Conservative Movementā€™s spin machine. Then you have to deal with their radical fringe, the anarchy, the obvious mental illness and the just plain incompetence of the Republican Party regulars. Itā€™s not worth the effort. Boehner could have told you so, Ryan.

Even Putin has soured on the deal he made with the RNC. I wonder what pound of flesh he will demand in exchange for Trump not coming through with the sanctions being lifted.

I can see the Christian Right stringing the Roman Catholic up and seeing how well he swings.

Always in it for themselves not the public service. Thanks for the low down. Canā€™t say Iā€™m surprised.

There is no GOP agenda to disrupt.

Hereā€™s my suggestion: Dems offer to support Ryan for Speaker if he promises to eliminate the ā€œPedophile Ruleā€ (a.k.a. the ā€œHastert Ruleā€) and move any legislation with majority support OF THE ENTIRE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES to the floor for a vote.
