Discussion: Ryan: A 'Divisive Leadership Election' Would Only Disrupt The GOP Agenda

Don’t tell me she had a few herself just like Donald has paid for a few. But then “the superior race” always gets Mulligans.

What’s Mulvaney got to do with this? Doesn’t he have a lot of work to do taking away funding from children’s programs.

Lyin’ Ryan, even your own party doesn’t like you enough to send you off into the lobbying sunset with dignity. Just desserts, eh? Karma’s a bitch.

Ryan’s done, cooked, finished as a politician. His dream of becoming president is over.

That’s what we thought about Nixon, too.

Well, this is sure interesting but Josh, can we have something on the guys who want to impeach ex-President Obama?

Seriously. Dude hasn’t been in the White House for almost a year and a half and there are actually some dingbats out there who want to impeach him. They even started a hashtag so everybody knows they haven’t got the brains God gave a goose.

Impeach him from what? His driveway?

my first thought was “how would we notice?”

Why do you want to spoil my dream?

“Democrats in disarray” was always a lazy pundit meme to be trotted out whenever, and often in direct contradiction to actual facts. Republicans have been in disarray for a long time now - since the tea party takeover anyway. But this doesn’t natter to their white grievance base as long as the dog whistles keep coming. Hell, the Trump campaign was arguably a complete disaster, but one mitigated by the Comey letter, the press failure, and the Russkies. He lost every debate. He made an ass out of himself at the Al Smith Dinner, Access Hollywood tape, etc. But the base voted for him anyway. They’ll vote for the Keystone Cops if they think that by doing so, they get to own libs and hurt people of color. A fight for speaker won’t make difference. The base has mowhere else to go.

Agenda?

The only agenda the GOP Cocksuckers have is:

PISS OFF LIBERALS!.

More reason to get out and VOTE. If the GOP maintains its house majority and McCarthy becomes speaker once Ryan leaves trumps WH will have total control of the house without ANY oversight…

Just let that sink in…

Your mission @sandyh , should you choose to accept it, is to explain the difference between the radical fringe and the Republican Party regulars.

Mr. Ryan your ‘agenda’, such as it is, appears to be two line items only:

  1. Appease Trump
  2. Roll over and play dead

Well, it’s not really much of a transition. It’d just be moving from Paul “See No Evil” Ryan to Kevin “Useful Idiot” McCarthy. Which works out to be functionally the same, as I see it.

You’re forgetting one thing - certain very white people will still own everything and will still have all the power. Time to take it away is now unless of course you’re planning on becoming a very white person.

conservatives killed the farm bill last week over Ryan’s refusal to schedule an immediate vote on a hard-line immigration bill.

Lessee. A trade war that’s costing them their most profitable market segment. Removal of price supports and favorable legislation. Tax cuts for the guys who run agribusiness, but nothing for them

How do we convince the heartland that the GOP has never had their interests at heart? It seems so obvious on the face of it.

I saw that too and I’m still laughing.

I think they will definitely impeach Hilary while they are at it.

And where was Paul when Trump fired a man mere hours from collecting a pension?
What’s that. Paul? I can’t hear you!
But, doesn’t the Divine Ayn say that anyone who gets money from the government is a Moocher?
I know, if we don’t like your “principles”, you have others.

OK Paul…walk over and slap that silly excuse for an ‘official’ Mick Mulvaney upside the head. This is ALL about him and his willing co-horts, Jordon, Nunes and Meadows.
