Discussion for article #244471
Who really cares what this toad thinks of the interview?
Rubio added that Penn was not someone he thinks about often and ādidnāt even know he was still around.ā
I imagine weāll soon be saying the same about you, Mr. Cute Boots.
Thatās rich, considering that Marky-Marcoās got a drug kingpin for a brother-in-law.
Turns out the interview was part of the official investigation and Penn actually helped capture Guzman.
So now what does Junior have to say?
$20 says lightweight Rubio never personally read the interview - was just provided with irate talking points by his handlers.
If El Chapo wants a real estate license, I know a guy who can help him out.
So, let me get this straight - one of Hollywoodās more prominent liberal actors helps the Federal law enforcement to capture one of Americaās Most Wanted and the Rube does nothing except prove that heās a clothes horse.
The Rube has no idea (ZERO) how empty and shallow he comes off. And this is the GOP establishmentās last hope??
I donāt think Penn intentionally helped law enforcement. However, do go read the piece in Rolling Stone and see what you make of it. Its hardly about El Chapo. Its about Penn concocting this adventure ā most likely as the ground work for a film.
Hereās what the better half just said about the news that Penn helped capture El Chapo. āSean Penn may live another week, after that, who knows.ā
Where have you read that Penn was cooperating with law enforcement? This is not how heās presented his activities. There have been news reports stating that law enforcement caught wind of Penn and Kate del Castillo activities and surveilling them led them to El Chapo.
Letās seeā¦nope! Canāt find a single āfu*kā to give about anything said by AguaāBuddha Rube-E-O.
In the capacity in which he arranged the interview, he was working as a journalist for Rolling Stone ā and I think Penn would know very well his obligation to protect his sources. It was a risky move to do this ā but he must have thought the pay off really big in terms of securing movie rights to El Chapās life story. I just do not buy that he would have cooperated with law enforcement ā especially if it were to mean marking him and his family for retribution.
In the UK, these kinds of political handlers are often referred to as āmindersā as in āmind the childrenā
I despise Rubio but he is correct ā the article, while fascinating, is grotesque ā but Rubio didnāt read it ā its not even about El Chapo per se. Its about Sean Pennās big adventure.
Wondering if thatās where Marco H-2-O got all his expensive toys that he, as a poor Cuban refugee, couldnāt afford?
First of all, you have to know the old man is a smart ass, on the other hand Penn relishes the adventure of unconventional endeavors. He was prominent in bringing relief supplies to Haiti after the earthquake and to New Orleans after Katrina among other things
@CaptainCommonsense
ABCās This Week alone thinks heās worthy.
It may be āgrotesqueā to Marco because there are hidden ties to Marcoās BIL, who now has a RealEstate license that Marco pulled strings to get after BIL got out of prisonā¦
Rubio: My brother in law and his Miami mafia would have been better choice (instead of Sean Penn).
Of course I understand Penn is a player in this world and has does some good things. I donāt think he would go into this endeavor to act as a mole for law enforcement. I think he has a political point of view which I tend to agree with ā that the war on drugs as envisioned and conducted is a fools errand and causes more heartache than it relieves. I am less in agreement with Pennās premise that certain public enemies are not really the enemies of the people, but of the certain political players and the press. In some cases this is likely true, but I sure donāt think El Chapo is a benign folk hero. He might like to see himself as Robinhood, but he is also a murderer.
