So he’s cool with Sharia law, then?

Put him in the “I Will Not Defend The Constitution” column

Keep antagonizing the Supreme Court, GOP. Call them ignorant. Tell them the Constitution is just a list of suggestions. Tell citizens and elected officials and government workers that they can ignore SC decisions that don’t make sense.

And then bring your cases before them.

Osama Bin Laden agrees with Rubio. So does ISIS and Mullahs.

Another theocracy-minded POTUS wannabe declares that biblical law trumps constitutional law.
Yet another reason why religious dogma and public policy make poor bedfellows.

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.

“So when those two come into conflict, God’s rules always win,” he added.

My god or your god, Senator? Or Allah? What about the hundreds of others? Talk about freaking anarchy.

I’m sure the good people of the Church of Satan will be happy to weigh in with an opinion. :smiling_imp:

This should disqualify him for any elected office.

Fine Marco…now get out of the race. CLEARLY, you are unable to follow the LAW of this country as outlined in the Constitution. Bye bye.

Laws can certainly “change”. But any current SCOTUS ruling is in fact “settled law”. Right now, gay marriage is “settled law”. This is how things work per the Constitution.

EDIT: Hmm, using his logic, since weed will eventually be legal (those laws will change), I can walk down the street smoking a joint and the police have no right to stop me, yes? Cool.

Woo Hoo! Sharia for all!

By Rubio’s logic, he could not, in good conscience, take the oath to assume the office of President of the United States. In effect, by his own words, he has withdrawn from the race.

C’mon now, Mrs. Roper was very liberal. And Mr. Roper was much more tolerant than the WBC folks.

So Rubio thinks jihadi terrorists are justified?

Once again from the top—fine, firebagger friends, you’re more aware and more moral than the rest of us, more insightful, no fooling you nuh-uh, you know there’s no difference between the two parties Hillary Wall Street blah blah blah except maybe for the fact that one of the parties would preserve the republic in more or less the same form it’s been operating for a couple of centuries and one is flirting with making it a theocracy. Oh, and the reckless warmongering, the voting rights, the right to choose to have an abortion, I could go on but you know what? Just try to use your god-damn heads about this and stop posturing for once. This is bigger than your superiority to the rest of us.

So I guess the pastor who helped beat that kid to death are A-OK in Rube’s thinking?
