And THIS really goes to show just how far Rump and Carnival Cruz have pushed debates way far to the right. I’m old enough to remember a time when statements like this would pretty much disqualify a candidate from a serious run for POTUS, even on the Right.

Goodness gracious, if he’s that terrified of home invasions by ISIS or Bad Guys in general, shouldn’t he invest in a state-of-the-art home security system with a panic room? His comments suggest that he lives in a house with no locks and no dog, either.

But seriously, he likely has a very good security system (probably better than my husband’s and mine), but he wants to sound formerly vulnerable, but now safe, thanks to his guns, to attract those NRA-and-gun-lobby-lovin’ primary voters.

I think his family is in far greater danger of being unintentionally shot by another family member than being attacked by ISIS. And in any fight between Rubio and ISIS, the smart money would be on ISIS.
