Discussion for article #240620
Oh very good, Marco but we’ve known that for some time now.
I almost feel sorry for that ignorant bastard.
Guess what was going through Marco’s mind during the debate?
While his comment is absolutely mock-worthy, it’s also concerning given the context of his answer. Basically, he was saying that since the U.S. doesn’t put out 100% of the carbon emissions of this world, then it shouldn’t take any responsibility in cutting them. American exceptionalism right there.
Dan Quayle knew that Mars was a planet!
Somewhere … Out there … For $5.98 …There’s a planet named after this bastard —
good to hear.
Has Marco told us the sky is blue yet?
Why, America doesn’t even have a climate! It has weather, as God intended when He signed the Declaration of Independence Day!
I’m pretty sure that is the only actually verifiable scientific fact that Republicans can agree to.
Oh, I am pretty sure there are republicans out there arguing that Manifest Destiny means that the entire planet has been ordained to us by the Almighty…and its our duty to claim it and honor it with our name.
It’s called “Dominionism”.
Sure it was a stupid statement. Still, for those of us who didn’t get to watch the debate, a little something by way of context might be nice, TPM.
Whew. We were confused there for a moment. Thanks for clearing that up.
(rolls eyes)
Of course his argument is, since we can make everyone do what we want, we won’t do anything.
Brilliant!
Beat me to it. It was a breathtakingly dumb statement beyond the mock-worthy “planet” part. It is akin to saying, well, we can’t catch all the rapists, so we won’t arrest any of them.
But it’s ON A PLANET!
it’s not a country either.
Yeah, screw the planet. We didn’t need it anyways.
“First they came for Pluto and I said nothing.” Rolling on the floor!
