Moore has had a terrible start to the week. Jones has had a great start. Jones has about 8x more money than Moore. He has an extensive GOTV operation out there. He’s going to finish this race strong.
The choice couldn’t be clearer. Now we’ll find out what Alabama’s made of. It may not be pretty.
If this election is about what AL voters are made of we might as well forget about it. This is the land of the KKK and slavery and Jim Crow. This is a state that made George Wallace famous for his racism as their governor. Alabama voters have been showing what they are made of for a couple centuries now. And it ain’t good.
And strong in Alabama means he’ll only lose by 5 points.
I very much hope Jones pulls off an upset. I expect it won’t happen but, I’d be thrilled if it did.
Oooh, attacking a southern man’s ‘honor’ is a big deal in the Confederacy. Watch Moore call for a duel.
If the actual electorate looks anything like the WAPO poll, Moore will lose. These polls are not showing a red electorate. It’s a purple one.
Alabama has a pretty stark choice here. On the one hand a man who is an actual, real-life law-and-order hero, and on the other a self-aggrandizing sanctimonious dimwit.
That the race is close does not really say much that’s nice about Alabama.
Maybe it’s time to reconsider Alabama’s readmission to the Union. Is it to late to undo that?
Though perhaps you’ll forgive us if we don’t make too large an emotional investment in hoping the people of Alabama do the right thing . . .?
Let’s be clear: a win is an upset. AL is still AL. All I’m saying is that the emerging data points put an upset within a reasonable probability. If Luther Strange were the GOP nominee, Jones would be down 20 points. Right now, this race is a +/- 3 pt race, and the Dem has more money, a more motivated base and is outperforming Moore among Indies. That’s not a bad spot to be even in a state where GOPers outnumber Dems about 2:1. Stuff like this does happen in US politics. It is not unprecedented.
Republicans are against abortion and birth control but have no problem with assaulting young girls or not passing medical coverage for children. Once a child is born they don’t give a shit.
At the very least take heart: a Senate race in Alabama is going down to the wire. Roll around in that like Scrooge McDuck his money.
That Moore is still in this race says a lot about how far conservative “Christians” have drifted from basic religious tenets. I wonder how anyone with a daughter can vote for Moore. I wonder even more how any woman can vote for Moore. But many can and will because they are convinced Democrats worship Satan.
I hope Doug Jones uses the tape of Preshitident Anusmouth and First Lady Iwank Trump from the Wendy Williams show in his ads.

To be clear: Moore has to be the odds-on favorite. No reason not to go straight for the throat. Show them how far they’ve sunk. Make 'em own it, make 'em pay. Make 'em the party of child molesters.
Instead of “cowboy suit” he should have said “Roy Rogers costume”. It would invite people to dig out photos and do comparisons and discuss it.

Roy Moore is a dangerous antigay religious demigod and a child molesting hypocrite.
The good superstitious people of Alabama want to do good and honor their god , but are gullible.
Roy Moore has a bombastic preacher speaking style and will tell fellow Alabamans the nine women are lying and gays and the commies are out to get him.
He will make them all fear and he is the good shepherd that will lead them to safety.
And there lies the rub.
