Discussion: RNC Chair: GOP 'Cooked As A Party' If We Don't Win 2016 Election

Ever talk to some of the children of those old bigots? And those old bigots you are happy to see die off had bigots for parents. Anyone in the picture below look in their 60s?

Maybe the GOP is “cooked as a party” if it must stick its current views that are extremist, misogynistic, racist, homophobic, and utterly dismissive and divisive. I do hope that that GOP party is cooked, gutted, shredded, and ripped apart.

Bring back moderate conservative values - not extremist, blind ideology, bring back a willingness to give and take - negotiations to bring people together, create a conservative party for the people instead of the 1% (in actions, not words).

That should work out fine then. The tea baggers are a wrecking crew. Governing is not on the agenda.

“We’re seeing more and more that if you don’t hold the White House, it’s very difficult to govern in this country — especially in Washington D.C.”

No, Rinsed Penis, you’re not “seeing” that, you’re causing that.

Cooked? The sooner the better. They are anti-American in my book. Grounds to be rid of them.

Is it really a “coincidence”?

Once a day, according to a recently departed fellow traveler.

Just take the GOP out of the oven when the little red button pops up!

Well, we’re trying our best to help cook the Daffy Party. But, we keep lightin’ the matches, and you keep blowin’ 'em out!

It’s a bitter dish slathered in bile, unfit for dogs.

Dibs on the crispy bits…

And we’re cooked as a country if the GOP does win.

And cooked as a country if they do. This is the big one, folks; they’re going for all the marbles.

Excellent post, jw1. Your points are solid and there is nothing the GOP can do about it.

One thing I pray nightly for over my pastafarian devotion is a Dem candidate who can develop coattails to get all the way down to the state district level and reverse the gerrymandering which keeps this flippy-floppy back-and-forth power struggle going.

That and winning the lottery.

Captain Kirk “Don’t believe them! Don’t trust them!”
Spock “They’re dying.”
Kirk “Let them die!”

Do you simply mean “democratic voters” not turning out (using the term “left leaner” for anyone who does not vote Republican)?

This is an article of faith among many here (the myth of the petulant left-winger), that the leftish side of the Democratic Party does not vote in mid-terms, but it is in defiance of actual evidence. The more liberal, or leftish, the Democrat is the more likely they are to turn out:

It is the moderate democrats and democratic-leaning independents that are faint in the mid-terms. The more left-leaning, the more progressive the party-member is, the more likely they are to vote in mid-terms. The left side of the party is the party’s strong reliable backbone.

Medieval history was on their side, but that’s about it.

“… if you don’t hold the White House, it’s very difficult to govern…”

Govern?
