I am anything except a scholar of the Talmud, but my recollection is that a woman wasn’t considered pregnant until quickening: that is, when she felt the fetus moving in her uterus. That used to be the position of the Roman Catholic Church, until they went to the Monty Python-approved¹ Every Sperm Is Sacred doctrine.

¹ Monty Python-approved means approved for purposes of satire and mockery.

So McDaniels has announced that the RNC will not fund the alabama state republican party and will move to not seat delegates from alabama at next year’s convention unless this egregious law is repealed.

Oh? She’s not doing any of those things? She’s supporting the state party and all its legislators unreservedly? Gotcha.
