Discussion: Rick Perry: It's 'Fake News' That I Would Replace David Shulkin As VA Secretary

Fake Energy Secretary endorsed by Fake President says what?
(PS: He followed up his statement by laughing at the idea that the state of Virginia (VA) even had a ā€œsecretaryā€. He said he knows the title is ā€œgovernorā€, like when he did that thing in TX)

ā€œI am energy secretary from now until the foreseeable future. Happily,ā€ he said.

The foreseeable future?

What infinitesimal fraction of a Scaramucci is that? What a time to lose Stephen Hawking!

Oh for God’s sake, just shut up. It’s a RUMOR. They have been around for CENTURIES. It is not ā€˜fake news’. You look stupid. Stop.

Afraid of being exiled in the Cabinet?

Or afraid that the bp (bribery potential) is far smaller from health corporations than from the big oil/energy corporations?

I understand that clinical psychologists now measure stupidity on a scale of one to Rick Perry.

Perry, like Dubya, is an idiot.

Perry at the VA is a lot less awful than having him Energy Secretary.

I think Perry can at least have some compassion and understand compassion for our vets. As SecEnergy, far too much goes over his head for him to stay in such a position.

Since is basically an update (with Perry’s denial) of a story that ran yesterday that didn’t get tons of attention, this is basically a repost of my reply to that story: The sad thing is that Shulkin’s an Obama holdover (I’d love to know whether his ethical issues date from the Obama years, or whether he took a cue from the new administration’s norms). And the really sad thing is that he’s been battling Trump’s other VA appointees on privatization, which this article barely touches on. The right-wingers in the department have been gunning for him, and he gave them ammunition with his stupid lapses (which pale in comparison to so many other Trumpers’ but are nonetheless real). If you know vets who don’t want to be thrown into the private health care system, time to get them politically involved.

Because using Trump as a scale would not provide the needed resolution. For example, Perry would be about 0.125 Trumps stupid.

As such Trump is at least 8 Perry’s Stupid.

Maybe someone can help me understand this or make sense of this, but why is it only since the fake election of our fake president that it is only Republicans who use the term ā€œfake news,ā€ especially as it relates to any news of themselves, at all? Where did this term come from?

Every politician eating a corndog photo I’ve ever seen invariably involved a Republican. I can’t imagine going through life without a profane, demented dirty mind. How else do you realize avoiding such embarrassments?

And this is a man who is clearly well acquainted with fake news.

Don’t stick out your tongue and don’t deep throat would be starters.

Perry’s grasp exceeds his reach…
