Discussion: Rick Perry Critiqued What Went Wrong In 2012: 'I Wasn't Healthy'

Discussion for article #236771

I guess he made a bad decision to run back then. So, he now has a history of making bad decisions.

Is that what the kids are calling being a mental midget now? I am so behind in my lingo. His answer is on fleek though.

Dear Governor Glasses, you may be healthier now, but your stupidity hasn’t changed.

“The other was in preparation”

Teatroll Rosetta Stone: “I had to memorize my lines because I’m actually a full-blown nihilist, have formed and hold no informed opinions on these subjects myself and don’t really give a fuck…I just want to say whatever it takes to get elected.”

Not being a dope is also an advantage for some candidates.

“I thought I could just stand there and say ‘Hey, vote for me cuz I’m from Texas!’ It worked for the last idiot from Texas to run for President.”

“The third group of lowlifes grifting off the Texas taxpayers that I would drug test —the poor, the uh, the unemployed, and let’s see. I can’t find the third one. I can’t,” Perry said during the debate. “Sorry, oops.”

Wasn’t healthy? Boy THAT’S really reaching for an excuse.
Some politicians refuse to learn.

“All the health stories” … guess I missed that part of Perry’s imaginary world view.

Perry also conceded he hadn’t appropriately prepared for a presidential run.

“The other was in preparation and just spending the time on all the issues that are important to a person that’s gonna stand up and answer their questions there,” Perry said. “And it’s across the board: economics, domestic policy, monetary policy, foreign policy.”

If you are running for POTUS and you don’t have a really firm grasp of your own positions and those of your party platform before preparing, you are not qualified to try to become qualified!

“I was a bad candidate because of health problems, but I, apparently, thought that those health problems wouldn’t have affected my ability to President.”

That’s some McCain level logic there.

If by his suggesting “I wasn’t healthy,” I believe him only if he meant mental illness and that he remains mentally ill. That would make him unqualified then and unqualified now.

Google Teanderthal …and a photo of RP will appear.

If Molly Ivins were still here, she’d remind us that she’d already warned us about electing governors from Texas and she shouldn’t have to remind us again.
