What fucking plan.?..the man said nothing to outline the ultimate disposition of this festering mess…McCain has returned to brain dead mode when rationality was begging for a hearing.

Wait wait wait. Wait. We’re talking about a troop surge, and then just winging it. I’ve been trying to give Brain McCain a chance here, but maybe that guy was right about his executive function.

Every damn time he does an upright thing he slips right back into the spineless, thoughtless sycophancy that’s defined him in all but the most glaringly obvious judgments: “torture is bad” (he 's been tortured) and “healthcare is good” (he’s had healthcare). He’s also fought in a unwinnable, colossally mismanaged and strategically pointless war. He’s responsible, in part, for at least two more, including one in the Graveyard of Empires.

There is something terribly wrong with either his head or his heart that he will not call Trump out for what is obviously nothing more than drawing a curtain over the flea circus. This flea circus is now guaranteed to outlive him.

Republicans doing what they always do. Fill their cock holsters.

These two warmongers will be disappointed when 45 is asked who is the president and the top general in Afghanistan and he says “We’re looking into it…”

Here’s what he’s doing for his base.

elevated mortality rates, as well as increased incidence of lung cancer and kidney disease, in counties near mountaintop mining. A 2011 study of central Appalachia found a higher rate of birth defects in the area.

As Trump predicted, I’m getting tired of all this winning. Except in this case, I’m getting tired of all this losing by a President who doesn’t know what he is doing but is giving in to the embarrassing military.

GOP have to praise this since it reinforces Ratings Machine DJT’s “decision” to listen to the adults. It’s very much like dog training the way they deal with him. This is still the box training stage. Maybe in a year or so he’ll be ready for “sit.”

The return of the bobbsey twins. Now more floopy-er than ever.

.

Yeah let him play “general”…what could possibly go wrong…

There’s a plan and it’s not going to impact the Taliban much. It’s you and me it targets. “Unannounced troop levels” is the Pentagon’s wet dream. ISIS and the Taliban don’t give a rats ass how many troops we have there. The American people do and won’t stand for another build up. But now…they won’t know.

Aren’t these the Congressmen - ie Republicans - who REFUSED to take any responsibility for these wars or to work with President Obama? And the Afghan leader REFUSED to protect American troops.
So… all is well now that we have this idiot Trump who declared he would pull every troop out of area?
Gawd … Republicans are “awesome” – in their lies and all their CRAP !

Lovin’ it

Thanks, straigth from the horse’s mouth, so to speak…

This is where “leadership” resides with many of these goons who can talk out of both sides of mouth. “You’ve been a bad boy, but now you’re a good boy.” How easy it is to stand in front of a mike and profess, “why the additional sacrifices are worth it.” (???) Or find the utterly insane platitude of “[Trump] has the smarts and the moral courage to listen…” Complete and offensive bullshit!! As long as we can talk about war this grotesque fabrication of a human is “fit” to promote it along with his choir boys!!

Everybody on the GOP side seems to think that a “military solution” will get the job done. “Just a few thousand more troops” was what we heard during Vietnam.
The only real solution is a political one that involves Afghanistan and all the various countries that border it plus India. The only lasting solution isn’t military. Afghanistan needs something it hasn’t had in decades. A strong non-corrupt government that has the ability and will to control its territory. That’s the only way to marginalize the Taliban. Much of not all of the blame for the on going war comes from Pakistan since they give safe harbor to al Qaida and the Taliban.

They’re the big money party, and war makes boo koo bucks. They’re also the fuck brown people party. Win-win for them. It’s not really about realistic strategies; it’s about expanding their power.

Other than pissing off Pakistan and India, what was the plan exactly?

“It (the Taliban) believe that we have some end date, some timetable, then they will wait us out and then they will come back and fill that vacuum with terror,” he said.

But now since they don’t, they’ll just disappear into thin air. They’ve been waiting years, but now that they don’t know if it will be 2 more years or 5 more years, they’ll just give up. Yup, donnie is a brilliant strategist. Time tables have been the cause of many major military defeats throughout history. Quagmires, on the other hand, always work out just great.
