Donnie Two Scoops acting “presidential”??

Hope springs eternal in the GOP.

Wait. Was it “hope” or “inability to learn from the past”…?

OMG, that speech was but thin gruel. Not a hint of any true plans. Several hundred words to say “We’ll try harder.” And he’s praised. He’s the dog you’re happy takes a dump and doesn’t turn around to eat it.

Let’s see what they have to say after the ego rally tonight and the grievances and insults that are sure to be tweeted this week.

During a prime time speech to a joint session of Congress Tuesday evening, Trump outlined his plans for the U.S. in Afghanistan,…

Uhhh, you night, just might, want to rewrite that line.

Whenever I see a picture like that of Gramps Mc Mediamaverick and Miz Lindsey Devereaux Du Bois, I am reminded of the two spinster aunt in “Arsenic and Old Lace”.

“It (the Taliban) believe that we have some end date, some timetable, then they will wait us out and then they will come back and fill that vacuum with terror,” he said.

If history has proven anything, it’s that foreign powers can successfully wage war in Afghanistan!

“During a prime time speech to a joint session of Congress Tuesday evening,”

In addition to confusing the day, I think you are confusing the potted plants and trees that surrounded Trump with U.S. Congressmen and women.

“They will wait us out”
They fucking LIVE THERE, Ryan, you goon-faced motherfucking granny-starver. And they are going to be living there long after you and Trump and McCain the Magic Maverick Boy and Miz Closet Case of 2017 are dead and rendered into dust.
What do you think, they’re going to skip off to a vacation resort in Barbados while the American military is there?
Trump and the GOP got nothing, and their glee will disappear after tonight in Arizona, because Trump is bound to be Trump there, and any miniscule “Presidential Pivot” they are hoping for is going to disappear faster than a neo-Nazi with an arrest warrant on his ass.

More Trumpian Insanity: Doing the same things in Afghanistan and yet expecting different results while also insulting the military for its efforts to date.

Other than helping the recruiting efforts for the terrorists, I’m hard-pressed to see how Trump’s “plan” differs from the previous administration’s.

Trump is a terrible President, of course, but he does understand the politics of perception better than many of his predecessors.
Here’s to seeing Trump make a genuine speech today in AZ, not a Presidential one which has nothing to do with his beliefs or politics.

You are correct. Afghanistan can suck the marrow out of the bones of nation.
How have we not recognized that? We’ve been there longer than the Soviets.

It’s so old it’s “new” again!
Like faux 1960s hippie love beads from Neiman-Marcus, or limited-edition vinyl pressings of "The Faith Tones’ Greatest Hits" (featuring their unreleased 17-minute live cover version of Salt-N-Pepa’s “Let’s Talk About Sex”).

Plan? Was there a plan in there? Or just a set of bloodthirsty platitudes?

Yes, his understanding of the “politics of perception” worked so well when he praised and defended Klansmen and neo-Nazis.
Let us hope he shows the same wisdom in Arizona tonight. It can only help his already cemented stature as a President among Presidents.
Why, I can almost feel that whirling presidential pivot already!
