If all that money goes towards buying more air time to show off the candidate, I’m all for it. The more people see of Ted Cruz, the less they like him.
ETA: He’s Joe McCarthy, without the charm.
There will come a time when Republicans keep pushing the same levers, but support no longer pops out. It is the certain problem of building everything on propaganda and nothing else.
It would be better if that time was now, but we will see.
Beto has built a huge truly grassroots ground campaign in Texas. He and many Texan are working their butts off to get him elected. Whereas Cruz has just coasted on being a republican in a supposedly deep red state. It will be interesting to see if large TV buys by Cruz can offset Beto’s grassroots ground campaign. GO BETO!!
The dotard insults him, insults his wife and yet he sucks up to him for help. What a spineless weasel. Why would Texans support such a big time loser is beyond me. Seems like tRump-taint would hurt not help.
ETTD.
Poor ol` Rafael - getting his tighty-whiteys in a twist .
I think that is exactly why the polls are apparently tight and energy is low for Cruz. He is gonna get crushed in Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin-San Antonio.
Ted doesn’t inspire people in a positive way, so hopefully an excited Beto base and a depressed GOP base leads to victory. 2020 has long been slated as the year Texas could get purple due to demographics (voter turnout always being the question mark). Happy to see it happen a couple years early!
The comments Cruz made about Beto wanting to turn Texas in California were pathetic. I haven’t gotten an email from the Beto campaign but I hope he responds with something like, “I’m working to give Texans the best of health care, and clean air, and safe schools…”
As per my neighbor’s bumper sticker: Cruz is a dork. Vote O’Rourke!
Where do I get me one of these?
Cruz is way too extreme!
Lat’s not get ahead of ourselves. I hope Beto wins but we are talking about Texas here and in the primaies there were more Republicsn votes cast than Democratic. I hope I’m wrong.
texans for cruz just don’t know beto.
hmm, needs work.
there will be debates, right? Anyone know how Beto performs in debates?
True, but If nothing else, Beto is from El Paso, which is the functional equivalent of being a New Messican.
It’s always fear with R’s. Fat cats are going to lose their power to do whatever the hell they want to workers, consumers, environment, economy, & etc. if they don’t cough up the cash right now. It makes a very clear who Cruz represents. At the local level Cruz has nothing to help working people get by.
Don’t quit this fight until you see the headlines.
We will find the answer to the age old question
Can money and advertising make you like an obnoxious prick
I Beto Carnival Cruz is gonna lose.
I’ve seen Beto in person (and donated), and he has legitimate personality and charisma. The contrast between his style and Cruz’s odious unlikability is what gives him a chance in what is still a reliably red state.
(As I’ve said before, I also really thought Lucy was gonna let Charlie kick the football that last time, so take my assessment with that in mind)
Well, after my two initial runs, I am still at (5) Cruz signs in San Antonio. Have not done more, but the Cruz signage is a pretty rare beast so far. Meanwhile, Beto is all over the place.
