Discussion: Reports: Trump Hires Veteran DC Lawyer To Head PR On Russia Investigation

So many kamikaze lawyers in DC, it’s amazing.

Now the real question: Who is going to pay all those expensive lawyers? Do the lawyers themselves know?

Maybe like Bush’s war, or Trump’s wall, the lawyers will pay for themselves.

Funny, though – weren’t Whack-Job POTUS and his scumbag personal attorney just recently advising all the WH staffers that they shouldn’t lawyer up?

This might be the first smart move they have made, bringing in an experience lawyer to help them navigate troubled waters. The question is how long until Trump or someone else goes off and does something stupid again, something you know the lawyer would have said not to do…I give it two weeks, tops.

I’m still flabbergasted that Republicans think it’s a great play to continue to back Trump when more and more Russian links are showing up. “Fake news!” will only work as a rallying cry for the basest of the base…the average American is going to be pushed away by the things coming out, and you know there is more coming.

It’s all about PR for trump, inc. This guy must have a masochistic streak to *work closely with Trump’s personal lawyer, Marc Kasowitz. *

According to Bloomberg, which broke the Cobb story, top administrators are bringing Cobb into the mix because they want someone to enforce discipline in the White House on matters related to the Russian investigation. That includes reigning in the President, who is known for ranting on Twitter about the matter.

***Cobb may as well promise to shit unicorns.***

They were. Because they know they are going to need cannon fodder to feed Mueller’s team. And they want it as exposed and vulnerable as possible when they start shifting blame.

@jakebarnes I know right? I had to laugh at that as soon as I saw it.

If someone gets impertinent with him he’ll just slide into them cleats first.

Reigning in sounds really expensive. I wonder if the more typical reining in will be done (well, attempted unsuccessfully) for free.

If he’s innocent what’s with all the attorneys?

I don’t get that.

Wasn’t Kasowitz already doing great PR for Trump?

They can hire 1000 lawyers and it won’t help because Trump will simply not listen.

We had the amusing story yesterday of Kasowitz (ie Drunk Trump) pounding on Donald to stop publicly commenting on some issue. Trump supposedly agreed only to tweet on the topic before Drunk Trump made it back to his office.

Will the RNC be paying for this attorney too?

Makes sense to have a Cobb on the team when you’re fighting with word salad.
