Discussion: Reporters Forbidden From Bringing Cams, Talking To Kids At Child Migrant Center

Are you kidding? All of this is probably Stephen Miller’s wet dream.

What a coincidence. Pedovans are the same way!

For up to $775.00 per day for each child, one would think we could treat them better than animals at a shelter.
From a NBC link:

WASHINGTON — The cost of holding migrant children who have been separated from their parents in newly created “tent cities” is $775 per person per night, according to an official at the Department of Health and Human Services — far higher than the cost of keeping children with their parents in detention centers or holding them in more permanent buildings.

From a CBNC link:

According to ICE’s FY 2018 budget, on average it costs $133.99 a day to maintain one adult detention bed. But immigration groups have pegged the number closer to $200 a day.

The cost to maintain a family bed, which keeps mothers and children together in a family residential center, costs around $319 a day, according to DHS.

But as of April, children have been separated from their parents with much higher frequency, which has led to the creation of “tent cities” to hold thousands of separated children. Those beds cost $775 per person per night, HHS told NBC News.

The Trump Scion properties are available…

Anyone understand why the Dems aren’t referring to the concentration camps as “Trump Hotels.”

Irony is that Trump wishes he could get $775 a night for his buggy hotel rooms.

For that kind of money, we could house them at the Trump Hotel in DC at regular room rates.

Cameras not allowed?

There’s always Getty Images.

The administration is leaving some room for profit margin, without which where’s the incentive to imprison kids?

I’m not sure that’s possible. The Republican party is literally a fascist party now, with no more plausible deniability left of that fact, and they’re in control of virtually everything right now that would lead to a positive solution to this. They revel in the fact that these concentration camps exist, and the cruelty they’re inflicting on these children.

400 something a night IIRC. I’m sure golf fees are included, and a free continental breakfast as well. It’d be a bargain.

Exactly correct. It’s profit for the jailers.

For those prices the kids could be put up in rooms at luxury hotel and provided room service.

Where the hell is all this money going, certainly not to the benefit of the kids.

A friend once worked for a short time as a nurse at a for-profit prison and the things they skimped on to increase profits were outrageous, just as not providing toothpaste or soap is here.

This is worse than scandalous, it’s immoral and depraved.

Bingo. that was my very first thought having grown up on a farm and having loaded and unloaded animals in such a trailer.

We can discuss it here.

Since you’re into throwing ‘grenades’, here’s one for you to ‘catch’.

She tried to negotiate the deal, but decided to back down (nicer term), when the ‘blue dogs’ forced the issue.

Human rights violations in concentration camps, restrictions on reporting it, especially the use of images, curtailing the voting rights of people who vote wrongly, belligerent militarism, mocking and attacking citizens who protest, refugees dying, relatives of serving military deported, it goes on and on and that’s just this week.

She got rolled, yet again. Not much to discuss. Let’s hope the people of San Francisco have grown tired of her repeated failures to represent them.
