Discussion: Report: White House Pulled Flynn Out Of Speech At Defense Symposium

About time. So many questions. Why were some of his conversations with the Russians encrypted? What was he hiding? Why didn’t Putin retaliate in kind for the December sanctions less than 24 hours after they said they would and after Flynn talked to the Russians? Reminds me of the Sherlock Holmes story about the not barking dog- question is not whether the dog barked but why the dog did not bark?

NDIA says “He was always tentative … we learned over the weekend that it would not work with his schedule.”

Perhaps his schedule includes being extracted, only to reappear miraculously in Moscow a few days later, being given a medal by Putin.

Bannon should should speak in his place. The slob can explain the superiority of his white supremacist vision for the planet.

”The White House withdrew Flynn due to scheduling conflicts.”

Actually true.

He’s scheduled to speak elsewhere that day.

To members of the Intelligence Community.

After a long flight with a bag over his head.

That’s a very comforting thought -

Maybe one of the FSB agents in town can swing by with their copy of his keynote address so the audience still gets to hear it.

Flynn: I am not too worried, my paycheque from Russia will continue … forever.

Pretty ironic they’re trying to implement a Muslim ban purportedly for national security, and the actual risk to our country turns out to be a right wing Christian in love with Russia.

This is all about to blow wide open. Because of this, Jason Chaffetz, head of the House Oversight Committee, will have no choice but to investigate…

…Hillary’s use of a private email server. We have to know the truth!

Perhaps he’ll be the first to experience whatever the Lunatic in Chief has in mind that’s “far worse than waterboarding.”

I’m sure he’ll tweet about it afterwards.

Flynn is being forced to travel the country selling Ivanka’s evening wear from the trunk of a rusting '98 Taurus.

And he has to model the outfits and always wear the shoes.

Its sickening to watch how this narrative has being shaped by the MSM. This isn’t a “Trump has a problem because of Flynn’s Russian connections” story, goddammit. This is an “America has a problem because of Trump’s Russian connections” story. But the MSM seems to be converging, with almost hysterical eagerness, on the idea that Trump can “solve” his Russia problem, and thereby relieve them of the ugly, scary, necessity of reporting on it, by sacrificing Flynn.

This sounds like the CEO who pulled out of the business council with Trump citing a previously scheduled “board meeting.”

I’d politely disagree. This is the first domino to fall. If Flynn goes, it basically validates a bunch of the points from the dossier, and puts pressure on the other pieces (aka “Golden Showers” blackmail videos). I don’t read the coverage as thinking at it ends with Flynn, but rather that it starts there.

Looks like General Flynn is getting ready to retire to his cozy dacha on the Caspian Sea.

Trump reviews top White House staff after tumultuous start: Michael Flynn is under fire, but he’s not the only one about whom Trump is voicing his doubts.

[…] Yet Trump’s concern goes beyond his embattled national security adviser, according to conversations with more than a dozen people who have spoken to Trump or his top aides. He has mused aloud about press secretary Sean Spicer, posing specific questions to confidants about how they think he’s doing behind the lectern.

[…] Others who’ve talked with the president have begun to wonder about the future of chief of staff Reince Priebus. Several Trump campaign aides have begun to draft lists of possible Priebus replacements…

The name still conspicuously missing from the doghouse is, of course, President Bannon. Seems it’s not so much about Trump being unhappy as about Bannon trying to consolidate his power.
