How very nice to know this!
Squirrels in the attic once again?
Ohhhhhh…
another fence jumper!
Maybe it’s just that one reporter. Trying to sneak out with a teaspoon?
just a dry run on the off chance Donnie Dimwit actually wins in November…
I wouldn’t be so quick to make light of things like this. This President has received more death threats than all Presidents combined. Don’t think anyone who posts her regularly needs to be told about how lots of people in this country feel about him. Donald Trump has contributed his share of garbage to stir up the nut cases.
The lock down lasted less than 30 minutes after some clown jumped the fence. I would rather post here than on the hate Bernie/hate Hillary thread. Watching the Democratic party tear itself apart isn’t fun.
It was Bernie Sanders – he figured it was his only real chance of getting in.
Again?
“Watching the Democratic party tear itself apart isn’t fun.”
Do you really think it’s come to that?
Don’t worry, the Democratic party isn’t tearing itself apart, what you’re seeing in those threads is some people needlessly tearing their hair out because they’ve lost all perspective, some people who appear to be hooked on hatred and outrage, and some people who just like insulting each other and each other’s candidates. That is political junkie stuff and not representative of the rank-and-file. If you haven’t read it yet, check out Josh’s piece today about the Harvard survey of young voters:

There’s a lot of fascinating information in this poll - about the criminal justice system, education, views about capitalism and socialism. I’ve focused mainly on what’s relevant to the current presidential race. The overarching results on that front are pretty clear. Despite press commentary about both parties being deeply divided and millennials fleeing the Democratic brand, these results tell a very different story: Millennials aren’t just liberal. They’re getting more liberal. And rather than being liberal on policy issues but alienated from the Democratic party, they’re actually become significantly more identified with the Democratic party during this primary process. Are they wild about Hillary Clinton? No, they’re not. But in a general election context, liberal political views and the importance of the Democrats winning the 2016 election seems to more than offset that disaffection.
There is a major political party that seems to be on the verge of a major fracture in this election season, but thankfully it’s not the Democrats.
Not true, this always happens during primaries. Remember 2008, it got real ugly between Obama and Hillary. Real ugly. But once a nominee is selected, the overwhelming majority of people “get it” and vote with the party. Hillary and her people backed Obama in 2008, and if Hillary had been the nominee Obama and his people would have backed her.
When (and it’s likely) Hillary gets the nomination, Bernie will say he would have been better, etc., but he will also say it’s important to support her to prevent a Republican from being elected President.
If any party is in danger of not getting “almost full support” behind their nominee, it’s the Republican Party.
I’m waiting for the next jumper to be jumping from the inside to the outside yelling “I’ve had enough of this!!!”…and his initials being BHO.
President Trump will make the fence a mile high!!!
You know sumthing
That would make for a good Key and Peele sketch.
But will additional security be provided by one eyed sharks who are packing Katyushas where their (looks for CM Punk) where fins used to be.
Shark fin soup. Never had it and never will.
Unless the first “initial” is Michelle. I suspect she’s counting down the seconds!
800 hate filled comments on TPM on one thread today alone and two sides that talk past each other. Yep the party is tearing itself apart. A lot of that going around this year in both parties.
I’d have to agree with others that the party is not tearing itself apart but instead is engaged in an extra lively debate because of the nature of the two candidates and their supporters. We Democrats are conditioned to be pessimistic, left incapable of expecting positive results in an election and even disregarding the beliefs we hold dear. It’s the repub and radio talkers I’m afraid who have conditioned us to be needlessly afraid because they plow ahead predicting victory and over the top positive outcomes. We must learn to do the same while continuing to debate.
I hope you are right, but I think you might be wrong. In 2008 Obama won and the insiders (Hillary supporters) got in line. This year the outsiders are losing.
