This is an oft under reported aspect of Trump's carnage. Republicans are being forced to spend inordinate sums of money fending off Dem inroads, and blowing it on increasingly weak candidates. They're losing experienced incumbents, and local and state officials don't have sterling, electable replacements in place to run for those seats. If nothing else the 2018 midterms will see the GOP and their donors and PACS exhaust a great deal of money and resources scrambling to hold the majority, in both houses of Congress.Whether a short time or a long time, Trump eventually holds everyone in contempt. That is the core of his sociopathy.
Repealing the 22nd Amendment isnât happening, so we can all be at ease on the âTrump for lifeâ noise.
