Discussion: Report: Rep. Darrell Issa To Retire

Legislatively, how will anyone know the difference?

Must be a strong demand for arsonists in California, if Issa is bailing out.

I guess there’s too much SALT in the waters for blue state GOPers…

Does CA’s “top-two” primary system likely help the GOP if the GOP incumbent retires?

I guess Claude T. can reallocate the money for his billboard to some other well deserving republican.

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) will not seek another term in Congress and will announce his retirement sometime Wednesday, the OC Daily reported, citing unnamed sources.

Is anyone surprised by Issa’s cowardice?

Question: Does Nunes have the stones to stay in the race? Is he completely oblivious to his exposure in the growing conspiracy?

My only concern is that his retirement leads to lower turnout in his race and someone even slimier sneaks in. But good riddance all the same.

I wanted to beat the bastard, but I’ll take this instead.

Don’t let the door hit you so hard you get blue-shifted, Darrell.

He can go back to stealing cars

Not necessarily, we keep having contests that are between two Democrats for seats in Congress. I would expect a Republican to be the second candidate in this case though, just because of the district.

Another Republican retirement in CA, another seat likely to flip. A few more days like this and the House is sure to go Democratic in the fall. Good times.

I never thought I’d say this, but there seems to be some positive fallout from the Trump presidency.
