The timing of this leak to Time is very interesting and encouraging. Someone gave Nunes, Ryan, Trump and the Republicans just enough rope to hang themselves.
This Page of history should, by all rights, be relegated to a footnote. But the utter incompetence of the Trump campaign and now Administration makes it impossible to ignore. Why is this doofus in the center of so much attention?

While I still donât know the final, net effect of the memo fiasco, the Râs should ask themselves whether they really want to keep pulling these stunts because of the renewed scrutiny it will bring to the players involved. When it comes to Russia, itâs better for the WH to have Page in the headlines than Trump.
The Trump campaign seems to have scrounged really hard to find such an assortment of incompetent dolts. Then again, given how many seemed to intersect with - or be interested in intersecting with Russia, perhaps the incompetent dolts were fed to the campaign by the Kremlin.
