This leaves many questions unanswered. We were supposed to know the speakers last Wednesday but the dog ate Trump’s homework, or something. Will the entire family be speaking, including Tiffany and Barron, or is it just the older spawn and Melania?* Any former pro wrestlers? Faded beauty pageant queens? Kardashians? Your imagination runs riot with so little solid information.

Maybe McCarthy is auditioning for Speaker of the House (again). If he can appear semi-rational in this venue, against a backdrop of gibbering idiots and preening narcissists, maybe Ryan will turn the gavel over to him right there and then.

I honestly believe that McCarthy is dyslexic, when he speaks he has all the words he wants to say they just come out in the wrong order. I don’t think this is only happens when he speaks with a teleprompter, but even when answering questions.
There was a day and time when the conventions made for interesting drama.
This is neither the day nor the time.
They Honestly haven’t been interesting for years.
McCarthy will bring all his political smarts to bear…like this moment of actual truth (*something the Republican Party hates with all its might) a moment which cost him the Speaker’s position: “Everybody thought Hillary Clinton was unbeatable, right? But we put together a Benghazi special committee, a select committee. What are her numbers today? Her numbers are dropping."
