What the fuck is wrong with you people? Seriously, what in the world would make you think this is at all even a remotely good idea? What would make you think this is something you should even consider? The Republican Party is already in a completely untenable position with minorities and with no signs of of being able to fix it any time soon, so I guess the calculus is to keep doubling down on the most regressive, white folks and hope thatâll be enough.
I donât just want Democrats to win in 2016. Nope, I want it to be a blood-letting that makes Obamaâs 2008 victory look puny in comparison. I want Republicans to be absolutely molly-wopped by minority turnout. I want the House, the Senate, and the presidency. And afterwards, I donât want to see a Republican autopsy, I want to see a mass Republican apology. I want the party to be so chastened, so defeated that they realize the only shot they have at a future is to completely own and disavow their racist, hateful past.

Well we can only hope for more of thisâŚoverreach and walk back. This is a good omen. Usually the GOPâers have posited themselves to survive and advance an unpopular position. Not this time. I hope this is premonitory of what we are to see from them in the future. I like watching them step on their dicks and I donât get to see it enough.

Why unicorns? Itâs damn well possible if our side would actually get off their asses and vote. We need five Senate seats to take it back and 59 House seats. Itâs doable. Yeah, yeah, Iâve heard all the bullshit about gerrymandering, but gerrymandering isnât nearly as problematic for Democrats as Democrats not voting is.

My only caveat is that, if they get clobbered again, they will probably trot out the same denial-based arguments they used to fuel the Obama years. Obama only won because âteh blacksâ showed up to vote for their own. In 2016 it will because âteh wimminzâ showed up to vote for their own. It is the sickest and flimsiest of lines of reasoning, but helps them to shield themselves from the reality that they just flat out suck at being human beings.
But if they nominate a true believer like a Cruz or Walker and they get clobbered, it will be pretty hard to make a case for the political ground theyâve claimed, no matter what.
Very true, and thatâs exactly what Iâm hoping theyâll do. Maybe all those white women who keep voting for the GOP, because scary black president is scary, will finally wake the hell up and realize the dog whistle theyâre blowing is about you. Itâs you they think is too emotional, too bitchy, shrieky, etc. While you sat back snickering at the racist jokes because they didnât affect you, but now theyâre talking about you, your daughter, your mother, your sister, and you brought it all on yourself by voting for them.

Sometimes, itâs just easier and spending less capital to let them do the damage to themselves. Keep all the tapes with all this crap on them, to be used in campaign messaging closer to the time when it might have more impact.
But by all means, donât let the message get completely lost.

What would make you think this is something you should even consider?
Because the GOP knows they can control the message and that the average, low-information voter isnât even paying attention now. The GOP messaging unit knows theyâll get on top of this when it matters, which is around 2 November 2016, when they will come out with enough propaganda that will completely obliterate this stuff that the Dems may (or may not) be reminding voters of.
Weâre talking about the DNC here. We are not talking about any messaging pit bulls on the Democratic side.
The GOP could be guilty of all of this and still very much win the election. Itâs why no one should be complacent, thinking that this message will destroy the GOP. Trump is leading or in second place in many States right now. This message is resonating with their base.

Very true. But, their base doesnât represent the country at large.
Right now, we donât need âmessaging pit bulls on the Dem sideâ and we can stand aside and let the Rethugs make their political party shrink by themselves. Itâs only Summer 2015. BUT, - as we go into Winter 2016, that needs to change post haste and Dems will have to get in the way with some serious reminders of the Insane Klown Posse.
