Get caught playing spy games, holding press conferences suggesting serious abuse of power ala surveilance of Trump campaign by Pres. Obama, then stonewall about sharing the evidence - all in an effort to provide cover for Trump’s ridiculous tweet based on a fake news story delivered to Trump by staff in morning reading, published on the website long run by Trump’s own chief strategist.
Nunes, you were duped.
Duped by Trump fanatics who are also facing some heat. But they weren’t elected by constituents who expect you to serve their interest, uphold your duties, and not give cover for a President who could have easily backed away from his claims by citing the source.
Notice that your colleagues on the committee, from both parties, are not willing to play dupes. They recognize that whole election thingy - and even if some would be sympathetic to your plight, they can see what a horses ass you look like right now.
Many of us are enjoying the show of your diminishing status due to the clown show you threw to the media. Enjoy your coming election cycle. Should have lots of twists turns and ups and downs.
At this point Jethro Clampett has more credibility than that hayseed Nunes.

I’m glad Nunes is once and for all exposed as a fraud among people whose jobs require them to keep this whole mess more or less straight in their minds. But it’ll make zero impression on the flying monkeys in the public who now pop up in comment threads listing “political surveillance” among the Obama administration’s supposed sins. So as usual the damage is done among the credulous partisans. 
Throw him in jail. He’s a traitor too.
Let’s not forget that despite all this, Ryan is still keeping this incompetent ass as chair of one of the most important, supposedly bipartisan, committees in the House.
