Uh-oh

Lots of “I don’t recall” and “I was too drunk to remember.”

They should just ask for his signature on his biography of Bart O’Kavanaugh Wasted: Tales of a Genx Drunk, and submit that as evidence, with this picture stapled to the cover…

edit: The two (2) available used copies of this epic tome on Amazon are listed starting at $1,900 each. The GOP must have gone on a buying binge…

This is tactical right? The FBI has to hand its findings over to the SC nominating comity i.e. the GOP/ office of the presidency so they can get spinning?

Yes, but will we ever know what he told them?

Somebody will leak it

This seems odd to me that any info on who the FBI is interviewing should be coming out until the final report is issued. This implies, to me (just little ol’ me with no legal or law enforcement experience), that the fix is indeed in. “See? We interviewed “everyone” we needed to. What’s in the report has been sent to the White House, as they are our clients.” The White House will probably just say, “Yep, nothing here. And to protect JUSTICE Kavanaugh and his family and the ‘integrity’ of the Supreme Court, we are slapping a 50 year blackout on this report.” And McConnell will be able to confirm Kavanaugh.

Yeah…I’m just a BIT cynical at this point.

Cover up in progress Text messages

WASHINGTON — In the days leading up to a public allegation that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh exposed himself to a college classmate, the judge and his team were communicating behind the scenes with friends to refute the claim, according to text messages obtained by NBC News.

Now we know that Trump’s “extemporaneous” comment at his press conference, today, about Kavanaugh having “a little bit of a drinking problem in high school” was almost certainly prompted by a heads-up from the FBI that Judge had spilled the beans on Kavanaugh’s drinking. How much detail the FBI got from him we don’t know, but the fact that Judge’s questioning isn’t yet done is pretty suggestive, in and of itself.

It is just so weird to see a SC nominee so actively involved in his own … process (being nice here). Totally unprecedented… and that’s outside of the context of any allegations.

This should and may disqualify him. Not so much the drinking, because he will say that’s in the past (and I don’t doubt there have been Supreme Court Justices in the past who drank heavily) but the fact that he clearly lied about it.

Certainly shows that Kavanaugh was, once again, lying under oath, when he claimed to have first heard of Ramirez’s allegation from The New Yorker. He was worried about her coming forward in July, and asked people to support him and refute the pending allegation by Ramirez. Brett Kavanaugh is such a political operative that he could not refrain from sending text messages to essentially corruptly influence potential witnesses.
@cabchi- It is suggestive. And it also might mean the FBI agents told Judge that they are coming back to continue the interview after they interview other folks. So the lawyer might be giving a coded heads up for people not to try and contact Judge. People like Kavanaugh.

The fact that they aren’t finish with Judge does not bode well for Kav. What reason would you have to interview someone multiple times if they’ve lawyered up or declined to speak? Sure, I guess he could be lying, but it could be that they put him on notice that they aren’t finished with him.

And people think Americans no longer care about literature.

George Hartmann, a spokesman for Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, said that “the texts from Ms. Berchem do not appear relevant or contradictory to Judge Kavanaugh’s testimony."

Isn’t that precious?

Kudos to Kerry Berchem for taking this to the next level when Grassley’s pals stuck their fingers in their ears and trilled “la la la la la la we can’t hear you.”

Once more…the guy LIES! He claimed during the hearing the first time he heard about the Ramirez allegations was in the New Yorker like everyone else. He knew well in advance of that article being written and was trying to do damage control in a big way.

Liar, liar, pants on fire…

If Judge is in AA, especially if has been working the steps for some time, he will not lie to the FBI. He probably is worried about any criminal acts he might have been a party to but if he is working the program he will not lie for Kav. That is just my take from people I have known. Hope it holds true.

And going on FOX News. To claim he was a Virgin until many years after freshman year of college. And that in High School, all he did was study, play sports and “go to Little Flower” [church] every Sunday.
