They know their reputations will be ruined if they stay, unless they were forced out, which we will soon find out.

Uh, oh. Who screwed up ? (OK, I know, who screws up these days). Agree, this is big !

I am sure Steve Bannon can supply some substitutes with the right opinions…

EDIT: Well that gives Donald and Theresa May something to chat about tomorrow,
“is it difficult to find good servants in the UK, Theresa ?”

So the highest ranking person hired by George W. Bush at State resigned rather than work for Trump after seeing the direction his administration is taking?

That’s scary.

The Purges begin!

Show Trials next?

The Black Hole Gulags have already been authorized.

Good for them.

Oh, jesus wept.

I don’t blame them, but we’re about to have a state department that won’t be able to organize a lemonade stand, let alone a peace accord.

This is like watching a train wreck in slow motion, except it’s getting faster by the minute. The T rump regime is already too slow to #1 anticipate the next moment, and #2 react fast enough to prevent the wreck from occurring. Sensible Fed employees are simply getting out of the way, and are preserving themselves. That female Secret Service agent is apparently not alone in her feelings about T rump.

Maybe that’s what T rump meant by Drain the Swamp. He didn’t mean the politicians. He meant the career civil servants. Sad!

This is a train wreck and the train hasn’t even left the station yet.

As much as I respect their decision, this is awful. I can’t see how this is good for the country.

Not just about torture.

Purging and McCarthy witch hunts on the horizon.

No need to worry Rex will bring in a few wildcatters and the guy who pumps gas at the local Exxon/Mobil.

fortunately the State Dept will have the fabulous Cheeto Donnie gut the guide them thru the darkness…

the same gut that keeps Cheeto Donnie assured that there were MILLIONS of illegal voters denying him the popular vote because his gut tells him it’s true…

From crap like The Wall, to One China policy, to NATO, to nuclear proliferation … I can’t blame them. There will be no norms and everyday the deck will be reshuffled.

I’m sure there are some right wing bloggers willing to step up and fill these positions and prevent the next BENGHAZI!!!

This is like watching some slow motion train wreck, with the box cars now running off the fallen bridge, plunging down into the icy water one by one.

If it didn’t portend bad things for the country, it would almost be entertaining to watch…

Here’s some more reporting from recent Trump Cabinet meetings:

You can’t blame them for their aversion to orange slime.

It’s not a purge. It’s a mass departure of intelligent people who probably secured other jobs before they resigned. They don’t want to work there. A purge would be a mass firing.
