Discussion for article #243904

Then I guess itā€™s important that he goes to a prison with a doctor on call.

Makes ya wonder, donā€™t it? Timing is everything I guess.
Iā€™m sure he has the best doctors money can buy so for himā€¦no worries.

Iā€™m sorry to hear he suffered a stroke, thank goodness he has the best medical care taxpayer could provide!!
I feel sorrier for his victim(s) who have suffered their entire adult lives because of his actions!

Thatā€™s really too bad.

Apparently he enjoyed a lot of strokes before pleading guiltyā€¦

The additional stress could easily have been a huge contributor. Ken Lay had a heart attack at 64 during his appeal process. I doubt that was a coincidence. Guilt I am sure ate at him. I always viewed Lay as the clown who got caught up in it and just kept lying and hoping it would all go away. Skilling on the other hand orchestrated it all and didnā€™t give a damn about anyone but himself. No coincidence that he did not have a heart attack. His goal is to get out and steal more.

Heā€™s still alive?

Darn!

Real or not, hereā€™s hoping his ā€œsocialistā€ government funded medical insurance helps get him back into tip-top shape, so he can go enjoy some relaxing time off behind bars.

No way he can use this as a get-out-of-jail-free card. Sorry.

A teacher at my high school got accused of abuse, finally. Us students knew it had been going on for forty years. One kid spoke up,then another, and another soon it was up to 17,18,19.

The teacher stop taking his heart pills. Got on his treadmill and kept working out until he dropped dead. Needless to say it never got to court. The victims never got any satisfaction.

Quick slap him into the slammer.
if any one deserves to die in jail, preferably a ā€œprivatizedā€ jail at least 500 miles away from family and home, it is this sleaze bag.

ā€¦and Kenny Lay ā€˜diedā€™ā€¦before he was hauled offā€¦

Scheduled for release in 2019, and trying to get out sooner. You could see from video of him from teh Enron documentary he is just a self-serving POS who just does not care about anyone, and actually gets off on stealing to the point where the money is secondary, he just loves making others miserable.

You actually think Lay is in hiding, while that POS Skilling went to jail?

Lay is dead. Too many people would need to be involved. He just got caught up in it all, and it killed him. He looked pretty frail as it was.

No I donā€™t---------but it got your attention, didnā€™t it?

ā€œI am confirming that during the first week of November our client
Dennis Hastert was admitted to the hospital,ā€ Hastertā€™s attorney, Tom
Green, said in a statement to Politico. ā€œMr. Hastert has suffered a
stroke and has been treated for Sepsis. While in the hospital, two back
surgeries were performed. We are very hopeful that Mr. Hastert will be
released from the hospital in the early part of the new year.ā€
ā€¦
Wow Denny, your lawyer is covering a lot of excuses isnā€™t he?
Stroke
Sepsis
Back surgeries

If the sepsis, which is a body wide blood born bacterial infection that can be very serious, occurred after the back surgeries then Iā€™d be thinking about suing the surgeons.

In that scenario, itā€™s not ā€œtechnicallyā€ a suicide, so his family probably got life insurance, etc. Thatā€™s usually the motive in those cases.

Edit: Based on correction below, it makes it much ā€œeasierā€ to get the life insurance money.

I have to admit, the fact that he was cremated makes it all the more suspicious, but cremation is pretty common.
