Follow the money. So this started before hiring Mueller, and it really makes me wonder what is cooking after hiring Mueller. Because it seems the legal exposure is set to mighty toasty for an increasing number of people.

And down the rabbit hole we go. Any American with a modicum of objective analysis should be starting to realize that the rot of the GOP is not a recent phenomena…

The money consisted of four $5,000 payments that Butina received from the Outdoor Channel for consulting work on a segment about bear hunting in Russia, according to Driscoll.

All perfectly innocent. I’m sure they were discussing ways that Americans could adopt orphaned Russian bears.

Back during Watergate Elizabeth Drew was writing about it every few days for the New Yorker and she described the sense of unreality and deep uncertainly about what would happen next that settled over Washington. I think we’re reliving that now, wondering where the rot and corruption will appear next in what once-stable institution. We knew they were selfish, and not interested in helping ordinary Americans with policies that would make their lives better. But we didn’t know there was a widespread capability for treason. That’s a new one.

The long tentacles of Russian intelligence are now deeply embedded in the White House and various Cabinet Agencies, in both Houses of Congress and they have their operatives in the Supreme Court. Russian intelligence had veto power over the selection of the Secretary of State and many of the Cabinet Secretaries have connections to Russian intelligence.

Therefore, it is not surprising that these Russian tentacles have already established active and sleeper cells in nearly all of the states.

Our democracy is in grave danger and we are at the cusp of unimaginable tyranny.

This is a pucker factor 9.4 sort of article for one Paul Erickson. I hope he’s got a good lawyer.

Yes, I’m sure it’s wonderfully concentrating his mind. Mostly at 3:00 am.

So, maybe Manafort can say he was paid $60 million to produce trout fishing videos in Ukraine.

Hey - it’s expensive to produce a special on Bear Hunting in Russia, when one is based in North Dakota. The money transfers make prefect sense in a meet honey-pot bear (a friend of Cozy Bear) sort of way.

I can tell you there’ve been women in my life who’ve led me a merry dance, and at the end of it I said to myself “You ignored the warning bells again, didn’t you?” But I can tell you if every woman I ever found attractive, from the supermarket to the screen, got together and gathered on my front lawn and called up, “We’ll all be yours if you just engage in a conspiracy with Russia for us!” I’d wave and call back down, “Sorry, everyone, have fun, but I’m not doing that.” Mr. Erickson made a different choice but that’s a high price to pay. Too high for me.

Truman had to gut the White House due to the extensive rot. It looks like it’s time for more.

America’s premier cheerleader for death and carnage Wayne LaPierre has sure been quiet lately. A lot of people saying he was severely injured when an overheated document shredder burst into flames.

I would be happy to suggest Rudy Ghouliani to him.

According to McClatchy, the NRA probe predates President Trump’s January 2017 inauguration,

The Steele Dossier! Paid for by Crooked Hillary! Witch Hunt!
Or as Lou Dobbs dog whistled yesterday on FOX Business “Mueller is on a JIHAD!”

from a series of suspicious, high-dollar money transfers to limited liability companies tied to Butina and her onetime boyfriend, South Dakota-based GOP operative Paul Erickson,

It’s going to be fun
I think we will see this repeated a number of times
“So tell me Mr Ericson when did you start accepting Russian Money”
