Discussion: Rep. Hunter Rallies Behind Accused War Criminal: I Took 'A Picture Of The Body,' Too

Now the deplorables will definitely rally around him .

“Eddie [Gallagher] did one bad thing that I’m guilty of too — taking a picture of the body and saying something stupid,” Hunter said at an event Saturday, as quoted by the Times of San Diego and flagged by Rolling Stone. The congressman served as a Marine in Iraq and Afghanistan.

And with that admission, you have forfeited your earned right to serve as a Representative of any constituency among the American people.

I know the answer, but:

Is there ANY Republican member of Congress who is NOT a fucking asshole?

Gee, cherry-picking the most harmless act to show how innocent Gallagher is.
This is what really matters:
Gallagher, a Navy SEAL chief, stands accused of murdering a teenage Islamic State prisoner, as well as shooting innocent civilians and other crimes. He is also accused of attempting to intimidate witnesses, namely fellow SEALs.

Did Hunter just confess to committing war crimes?

Hunter is just consistently sickening.

Nope.

I gotta admit it’s a weird way for Hunter to attempt securing a presidential pardon from Trump for his crime of using campaign funds as a personal piggy bank, but it may just work because Trump is that stupid.

I’d say Amash but he’s looking at a (tough) 2020 primary.

FYI, Duncan Hunter is facing a federal trial later this summer on fraud and conspiracy charges.

Hmm if enough people do it it is ok. Sorta of like gun violence in America today.

Like when I was a child, Tommy did it too!

who wooda thought that I would long for the boring old days of policy wonkism this deeply

miss the days when there were actual reasoned and reasonable discussions with those on the other side of an issue, like health care or civil rights, seems like a really long time ago now

Republicans must have really hated the way the US was, because it is no where near the place I grew up in, and the apple cart has been upended, dropped from a building, doused in fuel and set ablaze, a mere pile of ashes

I think what is worse is that the repubes want to play it from both ends, they want others the behave by long standing and predictable norms while they run around with flame throwers torching all norms THEY no longer wish to abide by

this America sucks balls

The perfect GOP spox.

In light of this new evidence, perhaps Hunter’s honorable discharge should be brought up for review?

You’d think a guy running for re-election in 2020 while facing federal charges would keep a lower profile, but he must know his district.

“It’s not fair,” Hunter explained. “A guy kills one schoolgirl with his sniper rifle and he’s labeled for life.”

I swim next to his district, and at one time was represented by his father, and then after I moved, was represented by the Golden Duke.

It shows his district. It also shows he is not the brightest bulb in the bunch. A little dim.
