One trick pony promises same trick.
“And we also have years of hearings lined up to investigate Republican efforts at voter suppression and voter intimidation; and, if Trump wins, investigations into his business dealings with Russian oligarchs, his and his campaign teams’ connections to Vladimir Putin, his failure to pay income tax, the fraud of Trump University, illegal campaign contributions and personal lawsuit settlement payments from the Trump Foundation, and several other things,” Chaffetz didn’t say.
“…in good conscience,”.
Congressman, I don’t think you fully understand the meaning of that phrase.
Could these people just do what they were elected to do - govern, and stop with the abuse of the system?
“We’ve got document destruction. We’ve got their own rogue system. We’ve got classified information out the door. We’ve got their foundation doing who knows what. I mean, it took them four years just to release her schedule.”
He underestimates just how effing bored the public is with all these nothings.
And Chaffetz, along with his buddy Issa, disclosed highly classified information in their bumbling and incompetent press conference on Benghazi.
Chaffetz, who unendorsed Trump after the “Access Hollywood” tape broke as someone he could not back “in good conscience,” announced in a reversal late Wednesday that he still planned to vote for the GOP nominee.
Tough to back someone “in good conscience” if you yourself lack one.
So, is that a hint that Rep. Chaffetz wants to increase his visibility so that he can run against Hillary in 2020?
How long until the word “Benghazi” passes Rep. Hypocretz’ puckered lips?
Mr Chaffetz seems in a hurry to be labeled useless, unproductive, a waster of taxpayers money.
According to the Utah congressman, the intensity of his investigations hinge in part on whether Clinton gives administration posts to members of her inner circle who were caught up in previous probes.
The one trick of the Contemporary GOP is Extortion and Intimidation. Just like the Mafia.
This is one of the reasons I’m not expecting much from this election. Sure, putting HRC in office is crucial for staving off the apocalypse, but apart from that (which is admittedly important!), I don’t foresee many great improvements. Republicans will still control at least one house of Congress and most of the state legislatures, and they will do their absolute best to stop any useful measures from being enacted.
How about just doing your f’ing job, asshat?
…because our blatant partisanship and obstruction has given us such a great, GREAT message upon which to convince Americans to re-elect us!
So the party that clearly slept thru 7th grade civics is willing to dissolve the concept of co-equal branches of government. The legislative branch, if led by the 'pubs, now believes they can hobble SCOTUS - the judicial branch, and use every trick in their bag to neuter/delegitimize the executive branch.
Good to know. But, according to the titular head of that party, isn’t it bad to be telegraphing their plans in advance?
Yeah, but what needs to happen is that the GOP gets slammed in November with major losses- even in the House. Even if the Dems don’t take the House, they need to narrow the gap a lot to get these idiots to understand that the Trump idiocy of “Lock-'Er-Up” works well for the rabid minority of a minority of a base but not for the rest of us and we’re tired of it. Honestly, if Clinton does get into office, she needs an AG who will start investigating the Republicans for malfeasance.
Suuuuure!! That is just what we need in this country right now. This country has serious systemic and external threats that must be addressed NOW! The R’s that have been elected don’t want to address the situation even if they knew what to do. They do not. Their supporters want it the way it is so our government will continue not to govern.
If Democrats ever take over again they need to show the R’s that endless investigations with the goal of political destruction are not to be tolerated. The only way to do that is to investigate their asses off. Stick it to them in kind with extreme malice.
is it too vindictive to wonder if the Justice Dept might open and investigation into Mr Chaffetz?
