Discussion for article #241361
He´s a liar, misogynist, racist, Tea Party Benghazi! flimflam snake oil salesman who favors the rich over the rest of us.
Sounds like the perfect Republican Speaker to me.
Chaffetz as Speaker would represent a huge devaluation of the position. He doesn’t have the temperament or the leadership skills to be Speaker.
There’s an art to being a leader. It involves bringing people together. I haven’t seen him do that.
A brash congressman who’s led high-profile investigations into the Secret Service, Planned Parenthood and other issues seems ready for his most attention-grabbing move yet: an underdog challenge to ascend to House speaker.
Wow! This is some pretty slavering “lipstick on a pig” bullshit, even for AP. AP imitating Colbert imitating Caesar Flickerman.
Because the presidential race isn’t entertaining enough or allowing the rank-and-file to do significant damage to the party, here’s the House Speaker battle.
Do you all have enough rope for yourselves, folks?
This is just no longer funny and a waste of tax money, media time, our lives…
Just think “third in line to the Presidency”…that should scare the bejesus outta the Dems…
So, why was Rep. Chaffetz rejected by the Secret Service? What’s in this guys closet??
If Mr Chaffetz wants to be #3 in the line of Presidential succession we deserve to know.
My asking isn’t personal you understand…
It’s an attention-grabbing move with no downside risk. For him, it’s a good strategy.
We already know that Jason Chaffetz is a liar. Chaffetz put up a chart and said, “I pulled this data from PP annual report” The chart clearly showed the group that created the chart. When is the MSM going to ask him why he lied? Will he continue to lie if elected speaker?
Well he’s got the lying and crying part down pat.
The Dems? How about the entire universe.
He looked like a petulant child at the Planned Parenthood hearing.

When is the MSM going to ask him why he lied?[/quote]
Never
Yes
The inmates are running the asylum!
Or any republican for that matter.
Chaffetz on cutting funding for security at U S Embassy’s, a month after Benghazi!
O’BRIEN: Is it true that you voted to cut the funding for embassy security?
CHAFFETZ: Absolutely. Look, we have to make priorities and choices in this country. We have — think about this — 15,000 contractors in Iraq. We have more than 6,000 contractors, private army there for President Obama in Baghdad.
And we’re talking about can we get two dozen or so people into Libya to help protect our forces? When you’re in tough economic times, you have to make difficult choices how to prioritize this.

Speaker?? Geez, he won’t even allow his opponents the opportunity to respond to his bs…
I wonder if he’ll say that Congress had contributed to killing his parents by not voting enough money to cancer research…
Isn’t this the guy who assaulted Cecile Richards? Shouldn’t he be in jail, instead of Congress?
I would applaud such a move.
