Well, for sure there won’t be a pardon.

So, explain it to me again… why was the Trump Organization paying the legal bills of such mendacious individual?

Which will put Mikey at # 13,748 on the list of unsecured / unpaid Trump Org creditors, and that’s just for 2019.

Good luck, fella…

Wow, this is highly unethical for Cohen’s lawyers at the time. To have your bills being paid for by the Mob boss, while your client is sticking with the Mob boss’s line? That is ethically dubious, but it also - with Trump’s tweets - suggests a payoff for refusing to cooperate, which is text book obstruction of justice.

I continue to be just stunned by how sloppy/stupid Trump’s team was in the face of very competent and dogged investigators (both Mueller and the SD of NY) both of which would simply be egged on by these type of perhaps illegal, and certainly ethically questionable deals with witnesses.

Discovery could be entertaining…

Big ol’ LOL! Lots of pens and notepads being thrown around the Oval Office today. Melania is hiding in an upstairs supply/linen closet – not because she’s scared, but because that’s the only way she could stifle her laughing.

At the end of the day, there’s no good guy to cheer for in this dispute.

So it’s not so much that Cohen’s lawyer is representing him for free as it is that he’s sending the bill to Benedict Donald.

I love it!

I was in Atlantic City once and went to the Casino parking area…and discovered that Trump charged 4X the amount of the other casinos.

I am not a New Yorker, but I am sure too many NYers have their own stories about the in-your-face stick-it-to-'em practices of Trump.

Trump Org is sloppy because it could be in the past. It seems they everyone knew how corrupt he was for decades, even various NY State AG’s. But they chose to look the other way, perhaps because of campaign contributions and other, cough, favors.

I think this move by Cohen was inspired by the pair of lawyers hooked up with Giuliani who tried to shop a pardon to Cohen. When Cohen didn’t bite they sent Cohen a bill for their services. That little story broke in the last week; I’ll try to find a link.

Looks like Trump should have kept paying his bills. $2 million is chump change when you’re worth over $10 billion, right?

He alleges that after paying out some $1.7 million, the Trump Organization stopped reimbursing him in June 2018.

What a waste of money for Trump! Just think how many porn stars he could have paid off with that $1.7 million!

We read and hear of Trump going ballistic over trivial expenditures, small sums of money in relation to an alleged multi-billion dollar wealth that make no sense.
Either Trump is a damned miser at heart, genuinely obsessing over every nickel spent for the mere sake of obsessing. Or he is obsessing so much because he’s essentially broke and every damned nickel is needed and really matters.
I vote for the latter.

Around $1.7 million in Cohen’s costs were allegedly covered by the Trump Org in various ways, the filing states. That allegedly included money from the Trump Campaign and credits from McDermott.

By June 2018, Cohen says that he “began telling friends and family that he was willing to cooperate with the Special Counsel and federal prosecutors.” The same month, the lawsuit reads, the Trump Org stopped paying.

And so ended the love story. The same old story: when thieves fall out, the long knives come out.
