The GOP never wanted to replace Obamacare. That involves creating a viable alternative…you know…governing. They never went for that stuff, and never will. They just wanted to run against it. Oh, and if millions of people lose their health insurance, and perhaps thousands suffer or even die, well, that’s of no concern if there is a political advantage to be had. They would be ashamed, if only they were capable of shame.

A plan without details is not a plan. The end.

My very strong suspicion is that republicans in congress will quickly learn that they can’t rely on anything that Trump tells them. His ā€œpolicyā€ position is purely a short term gut reaction to whatever way the wind is blowing at the moment and how he feels about the people with which he is dealing.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) said Friday that President-elect Donald Trump ā€œfully supportsā€ his plan to delay the repeal of Obamacare until a replacement plan is prepared.

That’s because you just talked to him. If someone else approaches him an hour from now and says that we should replace the ACA by giving everyone leeches, Trump will likely support that.

If someone should support him tomorrow and suggest that we replace the ACA by declaring all citizens to be doctors so they can treat themselves, he’ll likely support that.

Trump always loves the last idea he heard.

I heard that he remembers better if you kiss his cheek when you tell him something.

True. And that’s a real problem for them. The level of dysfunction in communicating or keeping up with Trump (tweets and mouth) will test the craziest of the TP and Freedom Caucus to the point of a constant ā€˜FU no FU’ conversation. Can’t wait.

I think he is a troll. Walks like a troll. Talks like a troll.

Let’s hope this will become fact, for it will lead to maximum chaos and their collective defeat (=maybe) during the next cycle?

Rand has an idea to repeal and replace immediately not a plan to do so. Trump loves this idea. Isn’t that nice. Try going to the hospital and telling them they will get paid with an idea.

It does appear that he has memory problems. In fact, after the Big Four briefed him on the hack on Friday, he issued tweets whose content indicated that he already had forgotten what they told him? Any Alzheimer’s experts out there? What do you think is happening?

What did Donald tweet 5 minutes later?

Trump’s lying may be the reason Paul has so quickly publicized what Trump told him–he’s placed Trump on the public record on this issue.

But, but, but… midterm electability!

A claim on Twitter is no way to create policy, but because Random is showing how stupid he is I’ll link to this again. He’s become one more of the useful idiots of the Ridiculous party.

I also agree with Rand that the ACA should only be repealed when there is an effective replacement, but that’s because I don’t believe they will ever come up with an effective replacement (rebranding doesn’t count).

One thing that Rand should understand is that, unlike PESO (President-Elect Sex Offender), I will stand by what I have said for more than 24 hours.

But what about all the pictures?

Agree. I vote for ā€œlies all the time, so who can believe this?ā€ + kernel of truth, because Trump cares about his ratings.

Actually, I am not sure Trump has the cognitive capacity to lie. He doesn’t understand what truth is. What he knows is how to make words come out of his mouth that produce the desired short-term emotional effect in his audience (the good ratings).

As a general rule, I am pretty sure that once we hear Trump say ā€œx,ā€ it’s often only a matter of time (days? hours? minutes?) before we hear him say ā€œnot-xā€ (because he’s addressing a different audience that’s upset he said ā€œxā€) and ā€œI never said x.ā€
