So let’s pretend for a second that Paul is right about this. What is his solution to help kids dealing with a “lack of fathers?” Make sure the mothers don’t get a cent of help and if they do, demonize them for being “welfare queens?” Further cut funding for education or even privatize it so these kids have even less educational opportunities? Make sure they are unable to afford or have access to healthcare? Cut all government spending on any kind of after school programs that can help keep kids off of the streets?

right. rioting has nothing to do with a miasma of police brutality in the same way that terrorism has nothing to do with American foreign policy. everything should be blamed on Inherent Brownness or maybe on lack of civilization in the local environs.

So, Sen. Paul, is the lack of fathers to blame when a bunch of white guys riot after a team wins a championship? Who’s to blame when exclusive fraternities (comprised of mostly rich white men) spit on disabled veterans? Or gang-rape an unconscious girl? Or chant racist slogans? Are you also saying that the people who dumped tea into Boston Harbor lacked proper morals and family life? Who’s to blame with the son is an idiot?

Paul’s recent unforced errors of having a snit ON THE AIR with various reporters regarding questions and stances which my grandson could wiggle out of assure me that he will never make it to the White House except as a tourist.
So this attention to what he says about Baltimore carries the same significance as a comment from Tucker Carlson or some other similar entertainer.
Sucks that I only have one like to give.

A major conservative contender for the Republican Presidential nomination says that the purpose of the second amendment is so that the people can take up arms against government “tyranny.” The right praises him.
A white rancher refuses to pay fees for the use of public lands and forces law enforcement to back down at the point of a gun while hiding behind human shields. Again the right praises him as a hero.
In response to the death of yet another unarmed black man at the hands of police black youth throw rocks and bottles at the police. The right denounces them as thugs and thieves.
Obviously, those black youth should have used handguns and rifles instead of rocks and bottles, then the right would have had their backs. I mean it isn’t like there could be any other reason for the drastic difference in response could there? After all racism is dead, the supreme court told us so.

Because, like the bumpercar which can go in a straight line sometimes, so the shape-shift of Libertarianism will snatch somnolent youngsters who will latch on to
“drugs?..hey! do what you want if you ain’t hurtin’ anybody”
or
“why should we fight every war? let’s let other countries do what THEY want”
while disregarding something like this:
“If you can’t afford a doctor and collapse in the middle of the street, hey! That’s YOUR problem”
or
“If I want to refuse to serve women in my store, I got a right to do that”
When the “justice system” can directly cause the death of an individual and no one is held accountable, it is not the civilians who lack morals. This is moral outrage, founded upon a clear lack of both justice and morals. This guy is nothing more than a poster child for white privilege.
