So, because I’m lazy, what are the crosstabs for the people who think he lied under oath and don’t want him to resign?

Let this be a lesson for the D’s. Keep the message simple and repeat it often.
“Sessions lied under oath to your Senators.”
“Sessions met with the Russians.”
“How much money does Trump owe Russian interests?”
“Why do Republicans want to take away your healthcare?”
Etc.

“Why does Trump keep lying?”

Trump: I am confused. Bannon didnt tell me that Sessions still works for us. I thought Bannon had fired him.

Yeah it was a lot of “help”.

I assume it’s just a slight majority because most Americans don’t understand what constitutes perjury.

Other than Senator Franken, I don’t see any of the Democratic Senators even mentioning the fact that Jeff Sessions lied to them under oath twice and then claimed he had the right to lie to them. He should be charged with perjury pronto and disbarred if he has a law license.

Lzhesvidetel’stvo. Kinda rolls off the tongue, eh?

Ok I would like to see both those things happen but the Democrats cannot do either one.

The Bar Association in whatever state he is licensed in - I assume it’s Alabama - is responsible for his law license and the DOJ is the only agency with the power to indict anyone for a federal crime.

Sen. Whitehouse suggested Sessions acted as a courier between the Trump campaign and Russia.

Edit: He used the term “message boy”, so even more insulting.

Lying and incompetence are badges of honor among conservatives.

He and that oligarch who followed Trump around during the campaign in his own plane.

Yeah, dropping by for a chat in a private jet…at tiny regional airports. Not ones for subtlety, these Russians.

Well or Trump either - the anti-thesis of subtle.

Well…not actually.

Contempt of Congress, which would probably be the easiest charge to bring against him, doesn’t require the DoJ, its done entirely by Congress…the charge, the arrest and the trial/sentencing.

You’re right.

That’s going to a tough sell to this Congress.

We get the majority back next year we could do it all. But for many reasons I would rather the GOP at least start the processes.

I’ve got to hand it to Al Franken for asking the right questions, plainly and directly, for politely calling out the discrepancy and giving Sessions a chance to redeem himself, and then bluntly calling it like it is: Sessions lied under oath, and the word for that is perjury.

Franken is the best. I wish we had 50 of him in the Senate.
