backpfeifengesicht: a wonderful German word that translates to, ā€œa face that cries out for a fist in itā€.

I know who #1 is. But is #2 O’Keefe or Martin Shkreli?

Yes.

If people on the right are willing to do this, how are we not supposed to be suspect of the people who have attacked Al Franken.

Imagine spending every day scheming, plotting, lying because you’re fueled by hate and you can’t make it on your own honorable merits. Imagine cheering for child molesters, the destruction of health care and racism. I don’t know what goes wrong with the brain of hard core conservatives, but there is a defect of soul or spirit there I just can’t fathom. No morals at all. Deplorables was a pretty good term.

I don’t want to imagine being Donald Trump.

The interplay of echo-chamber media and rw churches through which messaging is amplified and alternative ideas are stamped out - makes some of the dynamics within that bubble operate similarly to a cult - in terms of conformity, preventing questioning of doctrine or why that doctrine is a moving target, and viewing all people and ideas outside of the bubble as evil and an existential threat to the group.

Appreciate the reporting, Ms. Kirkland. Especially the irony that you capture in that last paragraph.

Despite the exposure of her real identity, Project Veritas is framing the Post project as a successful gambit, highlighting secretly recorded comments from one of the newspaper’s national security reporters saying definitive proof that President Trump colluded with Russia has not yet emerged. Media observers have countered that the project actually exposed the rigor of the Post’s reporting and fact-checking processes, and drew attention to Project Veritas’ sloppy, underhanded practices.

The mocking treatment of O’Keefe’s video compared to the Post’s uncut video that came from the hand of Redstate.org - was pretty astounding. Even in the rightwing media sphere - Dude and his ā€œVeritasā€ is not well regarded. But Mercer and others keep throwing dough his way - so he continues to troll along.

I’m sure that nothing done during this project could be construed as a tort or a crime. Oh, wait.

Speaking of which have you seen this? I imagine in their mind they are fighting against Satan attacking them (or something like that).

They have an uncanny way of presenting a loss as a win. No mater what, if they are caught doing something wrong they act like they meant to be found out and they make a case that it was good (and are even able to fundraise off of it!). No wonder they love that lying swarmy trump so much

With the GOP using the likes of James O’Keefe to make phony videos, can there be any doubt that Trump colluded with Russia? That’s a no brainer.

Of course. It’s a grift targeting gullible PV donors.

The WaPo, NYTs, and everyone else they try to ā€˜infiltrate’ are just props necessary to keep up the grift. Any actual footage is just a bonus.

Everything they do is a success and any evidence to the contrary is ā€˜fake news’ and misinformation.

Ms. Phillips seemed like an awfully dumb & dull tool for her RWNJ cause in the videotaped interview with the WP reporter. It should be no surprise that she was a serial failure at her task. It also tells us what we need to know about the general intellectual level of her betters at Project V, which clearly has a mission to scam its contributors, too. For sure O’Keefe is getting paid every day.

Yeah that was good, and perhaps why they’re so fanatical about their gunz - the need to be ā€œsafeā€ from all the threats they fear.

American culture places a very high value on winning, with a fig leaf of good sportsmanship covering the dark pleasure it takes when the triumph is accomplished by any means necessary.

I don’t know…she was pretty convincing as an Alabama woman. What brought her down was the back-ground checking of the Post.

Project ā€˜Veritas’ usually targets places that don’t have the resources or the procedures in place to vet people who come in pretending to need help. They may have (?) learned something from this. Go after Planned Parenthood, other service organizations that just tend to take people at their word.

Creeps will take advantage of the good qualities of people. That’s how they roll.

I am so learning that word.

Tom Cotton is on the list.
