Or maybe he means nobody had anybody whacked. What I think he’s trying to say is the meeting was undisastrously pleasant, but he’s so deeply in the habit of mouthing simplistic and stereotypical nonsense talking points that by now he can barely convey actual meaningful information at all.

One doesn’t “try” to be presidential. It’s not about being gracious and not saying the wrong thing. What Priebus is saying is that they are coaching him on how to fake it. I’m not going to go all Yoda on you but… Okay, I am. “Do, or do not, there is no try.”

I know I am a cruel and heartless motherfucker, but I want to see Reince coughing up blood from his ulcers at the end of election day. But, luckily for Prince Reince, Wingnut Welfare is always waiting in the wings when he loses his job as head of the RNC because, the Teabaggers will tell us, the Republican “establishment” (translation: Teabaggers with money) didn’t run candidates who were conservative enough. Of course, all the Republican candidates who are conservative enough for their own Teabagger base were hung by the neck after the Nuremberg trials in the 1940s.
