Faux Outrage in 3…2…1…
Because the baggers KNOW Denali is a village in Kenya.
Let them rename the highest spot in Ohio for McKinley. Campbell Hill, at 1550 feet, is actually within the city of Bellefontaine. Next year, I’m going to attempt the summit without oxygen. In winter.
Palin’s gonna blow a gasket.
If the President is doing this just to piss off the right, I’m OK with it.
A fine, meaningful gesture, appreciated by any one who climbed it or even saw it in person–and of course, Native Americans.
And soon, the list of objects named for Democrats that the swamp wants to rename.
sounds Muslin
To tick off Palin the Interior Department should have a slight spelling error and name it Denial.
It’s cut from the same cloth.
Great. Now if he could only do something about renaming the Ronald Reagan Highway in Ohio it would make my day.
I drove up to Denali from Montana late last summer. Wonderful place, cars are not allowed in the park so you have to take a shuttle bus which means no crowds. And like the previous posters have already said, I am sure the RWNJs will be quivering in outrage.
What’s that sound? The sweet sound of Republican heads exploding…!
There are lots of things named for Reagan including an airport, but there are a ton of things here in California where he’s still a saint. I suspect Issa is still working on getting part of the Pacific Ocean named after him as well.
May the Good Lord watch over you in that perilous endeavor. Be safe.
Obama. Taking uppity to new heights.
Rarely, if ever, in history has a president ever both righted a wrong and, by the same action, administered a trolling of such grandeur, scale and scope. It takes one’s breath away.
FWIW, McKinley was a Republican. Now, if only he could find a way to rename everything with a Ronald or a Reagan in it, including the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. Now THAT would be epic trolling.
Tell the World my story!
Yeah, and change the airport back to National. Having to fly into something named after that idiot galls me.
I loved it back when they were contemplating the name change and some wag pointed out that Washington National Airport was, if you thought about it, already named for a president.
