“Cool, logical, big-eared and level-headed, the center of Star Trek’s optimistic, inclusive vision of humanity’s future.”

I think we can all relate.

He played a character known as “Mr. Spock,” not “Dr. Spock.” Dr. Spock is known to Boomers for entirely different reasons.

Beat me to it.

Tracy Walsh is definitely not a Trekkie.

Growing up I always thought they were the same person. This led me to live in constant fear that my parents would use the Vulcan nerve pinch to get me to go to bed at night.

i’ve been reading comments on a couple of conservative sites, and it’s amazing how fucking hateful these people are – at a friggin condolence message.

Did the editor or proof reader leave for a long weekend? He never played Dr. Spock.

Who didn’t love Spock or the intense method actor in M Squad with Lee Marvin?
From 1968’s ‘The Paradise Syndrome’:
“SPOCK: Time, Doctor McCoy, is the one thing we do not have in abundance.”

Oh, Tracy, Tracy, Tracy …

This is how memory and DNA move: by little errors. Thankfully, by far the most die out right away of irrelevancy, hopefully like this one by Oh, Tracy, Tracy, Tracy … Some happy few bring happy progress, but that’s awfully hard to see here; and more than those turn toxic or into chitin or ease passage into the Dark Side.

Oh, Tracy, Tracy, Tracy … what must it feel like to be outed as less hip than a POTUS? I mean, a POTUS at least has some incentive to go unhip, but et tu, Tracy?

When Spock appeared, RWAC’s and religious freak repigs went nuts. They wanted the character and the series killed because of the “demonic” Spock. The show stayed on NBC when Lucille Ball threatened to take to syndication if NBC suits gave into the repigs. The producers went right into the teeth of the repig pricks with “Amok Time” as the season 2 premiere. Gutsy.

I knew several biracial kids back in the '60’s who identified with Spock and his issues.
