Discussion: Poll: Trump Remains in Commanding Lead After Debate Drama

Discussion for article #239232

Any time a political party that literally laughs and cheers when nasty misogynist things are said about Hillary Clinton or Michelle Obama or Nancy Pelsoi or even Rosie O’Donnell - but gets outraged when precious Megyn Kelly is insulted - fuck them. Go Donald.

Online poll? Yeah, OK… I’ll wait until they call up the old people on landlines until I register an emotion about this.

Daily Kos posted this earlier and the commenters said that the polling outfit had a very good record in the last midterms.

I gathered that the method is to fill in demographic slots rather than simply tallying the opinions registered.

Oh, I so wish we were 5 months from the election, rather than 15. I’m afraid that it may be too early to celebrate the unmitigated hara-kiri of the G.O.P.

For whoever’s interested, I talked to my Republican sister and she’s OK with the blood comment against Megyn.

I think the GOP has a tiger by the tail.

I find Bush’s plunge more surprising than Trump’s continued lead. And Cruz going up is pretty disgusting.

That’s a very good point. I’d be perfectly happy to see Trump go all Wreck-It-Ralph on the early months of the GOP nomination process, but I’ll believe it when they’ve included the greyer heads in the counting.

Radical insanity wins with the mouthbreathers.

I’m not surprised at all.

The Republican Party and their attitude toward women and minorities created this Frankenstein so now they are goiong to have to live with him.

If you lie down with dogs, don’t complain if you get bitten by fleas.

Bush looks like he’s sleep walking and just going through the motions. Glad to see him and Walker losing steam. Now if Cruz will just do the same…

Looks like Trump has locked up the “confirmed xenophobic sociopath” segment (no they’re NOT all that way) of the Republican Party.
And like any good Billionaire, once he gets control of something, he isn’t gonna give it up without making a hefty profit on it.

Sucks to be them.

Reince Priebus must be going out of his mind!

Donald Trump is gleefully destroying the already toxic brand, and ridiculing the feckless “establishment” candidates who were certain yesterday’s rancid bile was still good policy and would attract a majority of voters. When will these stooges wake up and realize that they CREATED Donald Trump!

Precisely as I expected! The Republcians’ Big Party Bosses want Trump ‘taken down’ and thought that FUBAR FOX spectacle was going to to do that. LMAO ____Trump completely dominated the post debate spin that evening and all the next day …and made himself the victim…to the rancorous adulation of his screeching, frothing-at-the-mouthTrumPets. They were outraged at how they perceived their YOOOOGE’ Messiah to have been treated by FOX, Kelly and the GOP.

Further, Trump WAS the draw to that Clown College Show at FOX and Trump is going nowhere soon. And Erick Erickson, of all people, dissing Trump by disinviting DT (while fawning over Megyn Kelly) to that RedState hate fest was like watching Jack the Ripper feign outrage at the way prostitutes are treated.

Gawwd’…This whole GOP sh*thole mess is just wonderful to watch. I’m going to need even more popcorn.
Gooooo’ Donald!

Priebus never had a “mind” to begin with. But you knew that, I’m sure.

I am going to go out on a limb even at this early date, that Trump will get pushed out somehow and will get pissed off and run as a third party just for spite, because I don’t believe he gives a crap if the republicans win especially if he isn’t the nominee. There is no way this man wants to do the job of President. He is smart enough to know that it will take a lot more than he has to offer. He is just going to stay in and make their lives miserable.

I say bring it on!!

Think of these stable and rising poll numbers as a culmination of years of a angry base that opposed Title IX and X defeated the ERA yet was supported by Nixon and Ford. Add to that 27 plus years of Limbaugh and his low-rent offspring on the radio shouting Feminazi and referring to women as vaginal Americans and you have a Republican Party that a non-entity like Prebus can’t control.

Jeff Greenfield in a tweet that I’m too lazy to look up wondered if Donald Trump was like Wiley coyote. He can run off a cliff and will only crash and burn when he looks down. I’m starting to wonder if he’s more like the road runner. The Republican establishment and Fox News can throw everything at him from explosives to giant rocks he just stops says something even more outrageous then runs off into the sunset. “Trump! Trump!”

Really odd that the media and gop party leader’s favorites are at the bottom…Bush and Walker.
