How is this not clear to TPM, which seems intent on legitimizing Trump’s idiot campaign? Trump’s polling numbers are nothing more than evidence of the absence of a genuine GOP candidate. As soon as the primary season begins, and the other candidates start putting a spotlight on Trump’s lunatic philosophy, his numbers will head farther south than Vinson Massif.
How, exactly, is TPM “legitimizing” Trump’s campaign? The writers seem to be having as much fun covering it as most of us are having fun following it.
