So, obviously, they have a plan.
(There is no way to make a joke or be mildly snarky here, and It physically hurts.)
Sorry, but âŚ
Weâll meet again
Donât know where
Donât know when
But I know weâll meet again some sunny day
Keep smiling through
Just like you always do
'Till the blue skies drive the dark clouds far away
So will you please say hello
To the folks that I know
Tell them I wonât be long
Theyâll be happy to know
That as you saw me go
I was singing this song
Weâll meet again
Donât know where
Donât know when
But I know weâll meet again some sunny day
Weâll meet again
Donât know where
Donât know when
But I know weâll meet again some sunny day
Keep smiling through
Just like you always do
âTil the blue skies
Drive the dark clouds far away
So will you please say hello
To the folks that I know
Tell them it wonât be long
Theyâll be happy to know
That as you saw me go
I was singinâ this song
Weâll meet again
Donât know where
Donât know when
But I know weâll meet again some sunny day
maybe someone could arrange it so that the 20% who now have insurance coverage but prefer that the whole thing just be thrown out could lose their coverage and let everyone else be able able ves in peaceto* live the rest of their lives in peaceâŚ
*apparently I shouldnât be allowed to comment at 3:00A without benefit of an editorâŚ
I suspect that the Republicans never really intended on repealing the ACA. Theyâre just threatening to do so as a way to distract people. Their real intentions are to undermine the regulations it places on the private insurance companies and increase the amount of money CMS gives to Medicare advantage programs.
Insurance companies just want to take over Medicare and Medicaid and do so with little or no oversight from CMS. All this talk about repealing the ACA just distracts us while they accomplish their real goal: loot the Federal government and decrease their accountability.
20% Public support = GOP self-declared MANDATE to act. Kellyanne will lead the charge explaining the Great Public Support and key RW media will pick up the slack and echo-chamber it until the general GOP voter, if if they are part of the 80% not supporting it, will think they are in the minority and the GOP and Team Trump are correct to act on this âMandateâ.
Me too
I heard this yesterdayâŚhit home
I donât know why?
And whatâll you do now, my blue-eyed son?
And whatâll you do now, my darling young one?
Iâm a-goinâ back out âfore the rain starts a-fallinâ
Iâll walk to the depths of the deepest black forest
Where the people are many and their hands are all empty
Where the pellets of poison are flooding their waters
Where the home in the valley meets the damp dirty prison
And the executionerâs face is always well hidden
Where hunger is ugly, where souls are forgotten
Where black is the color, where none is the number
And Iâll tell it and think it and speak it and breathe it
And reflect it from the mountain so all souls can see it
Then Iâll stand on the ocean until I start sinkinâ
But Iâll know my song well before I start singinâ
And itâs a hard, itâs a hard, itâs a hard, itâs a hard
Itâs a hard rainâs a-gonna fall
Letâs repeal and replace the November election.
If any in this poll voted for Trump and now object, then they deserve no less than poor health and painful death for their choice. If they start sinking, Iâll be happy to throw them an anchor, and laugh.
I wish them the worst because they have wished America the worst.
As Iâve said elsewhere I hate that folks will get hurt, but I think itâs going to take policies that hurt a lot of folks for a large enough majority to finally vote far right Rs out of office for good and sadly I think they will get back in later like they are in Europe now.
Edit:
And I know Obamacare and Intel is hogging all the headlines right now, but another soon to be failing part of Trumps presidency that will probably hurt as many if not more folks is his looming economic âpoliciesâ, such as they are.
Yes.
The plan is that the Rich want another tax cut and the RepubliPUTIN Party is going to give it to them no matter what. And so what if a bunch of the poor die because they canât afford medical care? Well, thatâs Gawdâs willâŚ
Iâd be curious to see what a poll of just the people who want full repeal would look like if you asked them how they felt about each provision or industry regulation line-by-line. Most of the people who want full repeal are those who donât even know what Obamacare actually is or have been misinformed by right wing media. All of the things within the ACA have traditionally polled really well among both parties. Itâs just that one party only seems to understand that you canât have all the good things without some of the unpopular things. Whatâs going to shock a lot of people if there is a full repeal with no viable replacement is theyâre going to see good things gone that they probably didnât know were only possible via the ACA. And all the things they complain about, like higher premiums and increasing cost of care will remain because those were always there in a profit-driven system, and why we needed the healthcare reform debate in the first place.
But⌠Republicans need to deliver on the mountain of bullshit theyâve sold to their idiot base. So, expect only bad things to happen. Gotta save face, right? Party before country!
Who would have thought there were that many Americans who still used their brains?
Link to poll @ Kaiser site is now dead.
That just might happen when the cost of everyoneâs coverage skyrockets and/or providers decide to get rid of current patients/services. Like everything else in the world, nothing stands alone. If the GOP takes down the ACA, they are in effect taking down the entire industry in one way or another.
Of course, they will tell you that this is a fact that doesnât matter. Itâs only the facts that you believe. Everyone losing access in one way or another is going to be a fact that nobody can overlook.
But then the Christian Wrong believes that only those that can afford healthcare deserve to live. They have the religious freedom to condemn others to death. The Republican Party stands with themâŚunless itâs their daughter who needs a broken leg set or an abortion for that matter.
Only One In Five.
GOP: Thats 20% of entire population which includes poor and non whites. For us, 20% is a huuuge majority. If we donât count the rest, we are close to the 100% support for killing OCare. Not a single Rich White Male wants to keep OCare. Case closed.
Since when have Republicans cared what the majority of the people think?
The depraved and vile Republicans now get to answer the age-old question:
Itâs glaringly obvious that the loathsome Cons and assorted wingnuts of the GOP never thought they would have to deal with actually providing a plan to replace the ACA; they thought they could use it as a political whipping boy for years to come, a convenient excuse onto which they could place blame for a myriad number of problems, a campaign meme they could use for political gain.
It would be nice to see that polls internals. Like how many of the âget rid of it now 20%â are well set with health insurance? My guess about 100%.
How many Americanâs understand this issue? How many have thought out just what would a replacement be? If such a thing was possible and âterrificâ why was it not brought up in the initial work sessions on the ACA? If the GOP really intended a replacement why the 6 year delay? They got us into Iraq in 12 months. Whatâs ACAâs repeal, Planned Parenthood de-funding and Medicareâs privatization net effect on the American peoples ability to get healthcare? Whatâs the political fallout ( you can bet theyâve worked that one out ) going to be? But more importantly whereâs the goody in this? Someoneâs got to getting something from it. Who and what?
What do you put in an apple pie if your intentionâs to make one without apples? Why wait for the one with apples to be baked on served at the table before you ask it be trashed for your apple free one thatâs yet to be conceived?
There is no such thing. Itâs just amazing they can pull off the delay shtick so long without anyone telling them to put up or shut up.
YupâŚ
Four more years of what theyâve done foreverâŚ
