In an election that was devoid of substantive policy discussions, aside from the democratic primary debates, can we really be surprised?
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star…
Baa Baa Black Sheep…
ABCDEFG…
All THE SAME TUNE!! WAKE UP AMERICA!!
Plus, “online” means a level of computer proficiency and an internet connection. Ma and Pa back home on the farm (you know the ones, they keep voting for Brownback) likely have neither…
So again, a subgroup of a subgroup.
And their hearing is good. So they get all their information from Alex Jones’ radio show. Consequently, they believe Obama and Hillary are demon-possessed beings who smell like sulphur, and Hillary ran a pedophile ring out of a pizza joint in downtown DC.
At least it is fewer than the fraction that believes the earth is 6,000 years old and that the sun revolves around it…
I wish I could like that one 1000 times .
That is the real barometer of stupid .
I would bet that if any of the 1/3 uninformed respondents actually listen to any public affaires programming they are Fox devotees.
This is a perfect example of why we should forget this democracy shit, and have a test that only allows informed citizens to vote. Probably these people dragged their knuckles into the polls in November and voted for the Asshole-elect, and now will bitch at the system when their ox is gored.
To them I reply, too fucking bad.
Sad.
and the same amount want a POTUS they can “have a beer with!”
Hate to say it, but that’s what the Electoral College is actually for…and we see how that worked out.
Of course they’re different, silly! Obamacare is a long word that contains the faintly Kenyan word Obama (scary!) and ACA means acka, from the Greek word oikoros, to ack.
Hay! What about having a “Literacy Test?” What a concept.
Was just gonna say the same thing. I’m quite surprised. I wonder what the number for democrats is? I’d have expected plenty of those who identify themselves as such to not know they were different either, but far fewer than the number of GOPers. So if 73 percent of GOPers knows the difference, then dems must be at 99! Then again, this poll has already surprised me.
Numerous polls over the years about the ACA/Obamacare issue have come up with similar results. If I remember correctly many people in Kentucky liked their state ACA marketplace and hated Obamacare.
Yet (not that these people are listening to it anyway), NPR station WNYC in their local programs, and NPR news and All Things Considered keep saying Obamacare, Obamacare, Obamacare. I have sent comments to both several times, not that it made any difference.
In the minds of these people the word “Obamacare” brings up mental images of the black president giving gifts to mostly black people like him plus mostly illegal Mexicans and other shiftless people on welfare, paid for with their (white people) taxes. It’s really that simple. Same thing with most of the opposition to everything Obama.
“I love the poorly educated.” - Current Occupant of the White House; 2016
Wow, there’s hope: 72% of Republicans know the truth.
“Poll: One-Third Of Americans Don’t Know Obamacare, ACA Are The Same Thing”
And you wonder how we ended up with “President” Trump?
ThinkThinkThink…the repugnants tweak the O’Care , leave it as it is, put their stamp on it.
Yuh, the same dumb and dumber 1/3 who voted for T.
Which means that approximately 1/3 of all adults in America probably shouldn’t be voting and maybe operating heavy machinery.
