Discussion: Politico: Obama Will Speak Out If Trump Announces End To DACA Program

I donā€™t get it.
Doesnā€™t this make it more likely that Trump will do it?
OTOH I wouldnā€™t get into an any-number-of-dimensions chess game with our greatest President.

Don the Con wants President Obama to speak out if he ends DACA to show his racist followers why the program needs to end. Todayā€™s GOP and its corrupt leader Trump ā€œget offā€ on annoying liberals.

Itā€™s sickening but I guarantee this is what these cruel, evil scum want.

Maybe heā€™ll be adept enough to hang this and all the other failures on the GOP without even mentioning it outright.

These people hate him that much, to the exclusion of pretending to be human about some things.

Itā€™s sickening but I guarantee this is what these cruel, evil scum want.

Iā€™m expecting the exact same thing.

What is this a double dare?

Why the hell wait. If it worth defending do it now

As soon as Trump said he loved the Dreamers, that was the curse of death for DACA.
Just ask Trumpā€™s first two wives.

Trump has succeeded in one thing ā€¦making me miss Barack more than I thought was possible.

Ending DACA will hurt the economy which is why Trump surrogates are out there on the stump saying it will help the economy. Noted economists say it will take $30B in wages out of the economy and cost businesses over $6B in costs for turnover.

It hasnā€™t done much for my feelings towards the ā€œmost popular national politicianā€ hailing from Vermont.

somewhat o/t

Iā€™m not checking to see how he voted on that '15 McCain unaccompanied minors measure. Itā€™s quite clear that SCā€™s senior senator has been very consistent in relation to immigration matters.

ā€¦or the ghost of Jill Stein.

If you hold a rally against the move, sir, you would draw some far bigger crowd than that of the moronā€™s inauguration.

Huge enthusiastic, empathetic crowd for justice, with positive vibes.

I kinda like to see how that would drive Peeā€™s pea-size brain even more nuts.

Iā€™m feeling an urge to link together Stein, anti-vaxxers, Joshā€™s misinterpreted post on Trumpā€™s personality defectsā€”but I wonā€™t.
Iā€™m resisting the urge.

She might be enjoying a nice cold Mueller one day.

House would again be the problem. Surely this is not something they would want to vote on, but especially right before 2018.

Obama will speak out? Really? Ought to be precious.

I have the utmost respect for Barack Obama, but this scenario of ā€œif/thenā€ doesnā€™t make sense.

Neither the Senate or House majorities have a choice. If DACA does end in August '18 (six months/Iā€™m terrible at math), then folks who had that time period to ā€˜get r doneā€™ are going to have to explain to constituents why nothing could get done.

Also take into account that Paxton might still say ā€˜f-- thatā€™ and still go with the AG lawsuit.

Then thereā€™s this guy

Brooks promised earlier in July to ā€œread the King James Bibleā€ on the Senate floor to filibuster any spending bill that doesnā€™t fund Trumpā€™s border wall.

because as we both know, ā€˜Mosesā€™ wasnā€™t anybody special without ā€˜Joshuaā€™.

Amazing that with all of this discussion about ending DACA because it was implemented via executive order, the key reason for that was congressional obstruction to consider anything to do with updating our immigration laws. And now congress is wanting to do something about it? Such hypocrisy!! Shame on them!

If his response consists of only three words, your bib-dribbling and spoon-clanging endlessly about it here will be precious.
