Discussion: Police Union Rep Stands By Remark That Ferguson Protestors 'Want Dead Cops'

Sorry, that should have been 125 yards with a handgun, at least according to the St Louis County Police Chief in this article: http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/jon-belmar-unfortunate-association-ferguson-protesters-cop-shooter

Beat me to it. Thank you.

125 or 150 yards, doesn’t really matter with a handgun or a rifle either. 125 yards is still too far for the average practicing shooter, someone not shooting every other weekend, it is WAY too far.

125 yards or 150 yards with a rifle doesn’t matter that much either. Still well within the range where a half decent shooter can kill one or more officers with open sights, and several officers with a 2x or 3x scope (magnify 2 or 3 times normal for those that don’t shoot). Throw in full auto (or even just 3 shot burst capability), and more than one officer would be dead, not injured and recovering, deceased.

The police representative should know that, but considering he was fired for lying on police reports, who knows if he really does.

Great. So the police rep tars all the protestors with the same brush he uses to tar the shooter. Wonder if he would tar all white protestors with the same brush with which he would tar a white shooter from outside the crowd? The guy confirms with each & every utterance the DOJ report that effectively says that Ferguson cops appear to see all black citizens as criminals who should be in jail or at least paying fines.

Roordan shows his bigotry and racism every time he opens his mouth. Is he helping the situation or is he fueling flames?

Another Mr Lynch .

Wanting and doing are two very different things. Then there is proving what is in someone’s mind. Obviously this guy just wants to blame black people and see himself and his organization as heroes and victims. Can I prove that, no, can he prove that anyone wants dead cops, no.

Jeff Roorda is the problem with the system and should be the next one to be shown the door.
