You’re a sensitive little shit-snowflake aint cha?
Seriously, though, it’s always about submission with these motherfuckers. No matter how trivial the crime (or, in this case, lack of a crime), you must surrender your dignity and submit utterly and completely, or else suffer the consequences, whether they be lethal or merely painful. I liked the old guy’s attitude when they interviewed him after the incident. Tough dude. I hope he cleans up in court.
Yikes!

You must hate that your ‘participle dangles’, huh?
Then you’d be no better than the policeman.
i had to read that over twice to see if I was missing the meaning. Nope. Just another really bad goof.
“Respect mah authoritay!”
Ironically, the driver pulls into what appears to be an auto repair shop that I am sure does inspections. The cop could have been “Officer of the Year” and just asked that he pull his car into the shop OR issued him a warning to get the car inspected within five business days. Case closed and no Taser fired!
“Dispatch, got me a 76-year-old on the loose without an inspection sticker. Unarmed and not dangerous! Send backup!”
The most dangerous guy in Victoria caught on film - the one with the gun and the badge.
Victoria police chief Chief J.J. Craig told the Victoria Advocate that the dashcam footage “raises some concerns.”
It does raise concerns. This happened in Texas, and the perp’s name is Vasquez. Why didn’t the cop use a gun?
There is nothing that I can write that has been written regarding the highly suspicious reasoning, logic or legality of this incident so I will just as the question: Dude (Officer Dickhead), seriously? You have to use a Taser® to control a 76 year old man who is way shorter and a whole lot lighter than you? Seriously?!?!
So folks just don’t need to be police.
Good think he was only a little bit brown, otherwise the cop would have used his gun.
Maybe the cop just thought the man was having a heart attack and used the taser since he didn’t have a defibrillator.
I can’t help thinking that a lot of this abusive behavior could be avoided if police departments just interviewed people that went to high school with potential recruits. This kind of douchebaggery generally reveals itself early.
It’s Techbackasswards. Plus there are other reasons.
Cop shows up in Cop America TT, you can count on receiving summary brutality even if you’re totally in the right and maybe all that does is make it worse for you.
Like with this situation, the most the boss cops will do is issue a meaningless ‘tut tut maybe this might notta been the way to do’, whereupon police union spokesmen nationwide will go after the old dude for being uppity or pro’ly illegal cuz he’s Mexkin or driving a lethal weapon or dissin’ the uniform or just plain so little and old and so in the right that he was just BEGGING for a beat-down.
Doesn’t matter. Won’t stop anything. This is America TT, and if you ain’t wearing a uniform and packing major heat, you may breathe but they decide if you still get to.
Until the pointing out of typos, grammos and nonsensibles ceases, the beatings shall continue.
This could all have been avoided by TPM deciding simply to link to the Victoria paper’s online story and refraining from any re-write. It’s a very good piece, and more than a little surprising that a TPM writer could take it and turn it into something as unprofessional as this TPM piece is.
That’s the DEALERSHIP!
The old dude’s boss was right there. He protested, the cop continued to act the storm trooper, and still the boss followed the cop car to the hospital out of concern for the old dude.
So, this doesn’t exactly improve the storm trooper’s position: the old dude TELLS him this is a dealership car, then goes to the back of the car and POINTS OUT the dealers’ plates, and all that seems to have accomplished is convince the storm trooper he was dealing with a Foreign Unfriendly disguised as a harmless old dude making a correct point in reality posing a risk to the storm trooper in particular and to the public at large.
