Maybe we need to start officially announcing the victimsā names before the killerās. Switch the emphasis right up front. So only law enforcement is speculating/gathering evidence, whys and wherefores, for about three days and we can reduce the killerās moment of fame from 15 minutes to about 2. Discourage others.

An armed, upright citizen in that darkened, chaotic theater should have stood up and unloaded his weapon in the general direction from which he heard Houserās gunfire. Probably might have could have killed him. Or somebody. Whatever.

The guy was staying in a Motel 6. $50 says his TV was tuned to one porn channel the whole time he was there. Youāve seen the fare; a couple people (sometimes a threesome!) on screen team up and commit vile, lewd acts, spewing incomprehensible obscenities, solely designed to inflame and provoke the most base, gratuitous response in the viewer. A veritable festival of societal norm violations. You know, Fox News.

BTW, Alabama and Louisiana - big-time gun rights states. As ye sow, so shall ye reap. Not at all blaming the victims - my thoughts are with their families, but the society in which they live desperately needs to be confronted with the real consequences of their obsessions.
