Discussion: Police: Active Shooter Reported At Planned Parenthood In Colorado Springs

We must find out if the shooter heard Rubio’s comment of Wednesday that “God’s law trumps secular law” or words to the effect if secular law requires one to sin than one should ignore the secular law.

Edit I see I posted my comment same time as jtx.

The shooter(s) were on a Holy Crusade, don’t ya know?
Congress has legitimized this kind of action.

If there’s really police officers who got shot, that would help the case for being viewed as terrorism. It’ll probably be pinned on the ‘mentally ill loner’ angle. I’d sure make my bets that it’s religiously and conservatively based though.

As I sit here with some of my relatives celebrating Native American Heritage Day on (black $$$ Friday?) with our kids – I can only say “hold on.” – there is a really good generation on the way.

Sadly, the only thing that will keep the media’s attention towards this outrageous act of barbarism and domestic terrorism in the news is if t-Rump makes some asinine comment about it.

Another NRA terrorist.

Drumpf will claim that Drumpf’s being “smeared” pushed the shooter over the edge.

I thought they just said shots were still being fired. This is still an ongoing situation.

There’s a reporter tweeting from the scene who said the police just asked for a sniper.

And freaking CNN is trying to spin this as a bank robbery, while the local reporting is that the shooter is obviously in the Planned Parenthood building.

Unbelievable.

They just said on the livestream that they don’t know if there is a second shooter on the scene.

The time to have stopped this was on January 2009, when the GOP decided the path it was to take. Not as a loyal opposition Party, but as a combative cult

Granted, FOX and Talk Radio were the cheerleaders.

But the enablers were the look-the-other-way MSM. The MSM does more than “report the news”. For millions of people, the MSM depicts social reality, and the venomous, vindictive, hateful, bigoted and biased Republican Party was portrayed as “opposition”.

“Opposition” was Senator Everett Dirksen saying that he “disagreed” with LBJ in the 1960s.***

“Opposition” is (pick a GOP politician) __________________ embracing sedition in 2015.

*** By the way, the “opposing” LBJ and Everett Dirksen worked together to enact the 1960s Civil Rights Act.

The “opposition” years ago could spend all day denouncing each others’ policies on the floor of the House or Senate, then get together for drinks at the end of the day.

I think this is the very key. It’s a sort of paradigm with which for them to interpret and understand the world around them (the world, everything – not just white Christian terrorism like this). It’s a premise too taken for granted for them to ever question.

I don’t watch cable news (don’t have cable), but from what I hear these days CNN is just as bad as FOX. Sometimes even worse.

CNN used to be the place to go to for war coverage and plane crashes. That’s no longer the case and hasn’t been for a very long time. I’ve avoided cable news for the last week leading up to Thanksgiving and I can honestly say my blood pressure, I believe, has gone down immensely, and my sanity and personal well-being has increased exponentially. I might actually make this an ongoing thing…
