I doubt Whitey Pence could tell the difference between the real courage of John Lewis and Russian hospitality even if Putin tattooed a number on him and sent him to a camp to clean out ovens.
Pence said in an interview on “Fox News Sunday” that he has “great respect” for Lewis but was “deeply disappointed” in his comments.
That’s strange. I’m pretty sure that Rep. Lewis has little respect for Trump or Pence.

Trump does indeed have the right to defend himself from Lewis’s statements, Pence. He even has the right to defend himself by not actually defending himself against the specific charges but instead resorting to ad hominem attacks (i.e. that Lewis doesn’t take action, that his district is in bad shape) that are neither relevant nor true. Indeed, this is the only way he ever defends himself. And it never hurts him. Hell, he got elected despite (because of?) it.
And you, pence, also have the right to “defend” trump for his “defense”. And you can even do this by using a red herring argument that asserts that those responding to trump’s ad hominem attacks on lewis are saying that trump has no right to defend himself, when in actuality they’re just pointing out that the statements trump used to defend himself are demonstrably - to put it as trump would - “WRONG!”.
Like trump himself, this is how you and your komrades on trump’s dream team of hacks always operate (kelly anne is the queen of this shit*). And also like trump, it seems to have worked out quite well for you.
*I found a youtube video of the queen herself on Seth Meyer’s show. Everydamnthing he said, she’d respond to with something completely unrelated. And not just with a sentence or two, but a barrage of paragraphs worth of “facts” completely unrelated to the original statement. Drivel about how great trump is and what a good job he’s doing. I mean, I knew she could do this and had seen her do this, but this was a truly epic display of her prowess. One that left me both disgusted and - because I don’t think I could personally ever pull something like that off with the poise and precision she did - impressed. Impressed in the way you are when you see a dog that can lick its own ass: “Wow! That’s amazing, but even if I could, I wouldn’t.” Yeah, she is truly a master bullshitter.

Like their chants of “Lock her up!”, we libs should be saying “SHOW US YOUR TAX RETURNS!” whenever T-Rump pokes his head with its road-kill hairdo out of his hole. He has many reasons to keep them secret. I bet he’s not a billionaire, and I bet he’s done a lot of criminal things that COULD lead to prison time if only people knew!
